i had an idea that id like to wear a shirts that said things like ‘i love vegtables’ or ‘i like grains’, i think these would socially acceptabe (though id probably get laughed at by the immature) then i thought of beans and herbs and nuts and fruits and seeds, guess which 2 would b percieved wrongly, its sad the way our culture has taken words and twisted them
Thank you! I resent having to watch every DAMN word I say these days. Cursing is an everyday thing that hardly anyone takes offence to, and yet these update *BASTARDS* only mind if people say non-PC words like fruit. I’m sure soon we aren’t going to be able to open our mouths b/c 99% of the vocabulary will upset the poor offended ones. Wish I could think of a pun to add here, but it may offend someone.
Being PC is getting a little out of control. we are wasting so much time trying to police what words people are saying. Parents are letting society teach children manners and morals are being lost.there is a politian who is in the news for calling his ex a “dog”. People are actually wasting the time on the news ( and I suspect in the parliment soon) trying to get this guy to apologize, now i am not saying he should be running around saying this- i don’t think it is polite for any one to say this type of thing. but OMFG! people lets start working for a better cause then controlling freedom of speach!for the original comment – i hope you were REALLY using the word in the proper context, but if not i do support your right to speak free from prosicution!
This is the best bitch I have read in a really long time. Being poliically correct has gotten so out of hand, it’s insane. I got spoken to about referring to someone as a “stewardess” on a plane (they’re flight attendants) and also about using the work gimp, which refers to a limp or one who limps… and I was referring to myself. So hooray for you, and I hope that there is an anti-political correctness revolution soon… because I can’t remember what’s ok and what’s not.
I got yelled at for saying”I got jipped” I always thought of it as meaning ripped off but I guess It means something rascist about gypseys. I dont know any gypseys and I have nothing against gypsys. I was even one for halloween once.Anyways I got yelled at so I feel bad and Im sorry.
Oh the joys of Cole Harbour High! Everything at that school gets blown out of proportion. Think 1989 and 1997! 1997 was my senior year and everything everyone said or did was picked apart and analyzed. A guy came to school for Halloween dressed as Jesus on a cross and although many complained, he wore that costume all day, but “fruit” (a delicious demi food group) automatically gets assumes as a gay slur and gets someone in shit. Only at Cole Harbour High.
