Got to love the freedom of speech. Hired an unnamed moving company from an unnamed site. They decided to not show up even though they confirmed the appointment the day before the move. When I went to bitch about them on the unnamed site for the ridiculous amount of trouble they caused me the unnamed site deleted the complaint and emailed me saying they could not leave it up because it was a “warning” about the company. Well, hell ya it was a warning. I don’t want anyone else to use this useless company. Guess there is only freedom of speech when you have something nice to say. —Upset But Finally Moved

hear! hear!
If it was yelp, you need to actually explain what happened, not just say DONT USE THEM THEY SUCK OK BYEEEEEEEE
if you want to send out a warning…
put your name behind it and submit to the herald.
or maybe a coast writer would do a piece on it…
but the rules of anonymity declare we aren’t supposed to name names,
as set forth by our deity, theCoast
Freedom of speech doesn’t apply to a privately owned and operated website.
OB: I feel your pain. As part of my job, I respond to complaints on company websites – if they are posted publicly, the response should be public.
As far as I am concerned, the only time something should be removed from a company-run website is when it has inappropriate language, too much identifying information (someone’s phone number) or is an outright lie.
Companies need to understand that people are not stupid enough to believe the only things on a website are positive. I’d much rather do business with a company that inevitably fixes a problem rather than making it “disappear”.
Orgasm, you are absolutely right. The OB has the absolute right to create his or her own page to vent, find a site that will accept the complaint, or they can shout it on the street.
There’s a site called the Better Business Bureau. Register a complaint.
really, you think we have free speech here? try calling the queen, and tell her she is an old bag.or try writing in the horrid paper’s comment and putting down a politico? i have done the latter and was barred from using the site. fuck them, the coast is really the only place where we have a modicum of free speech. but there are a few nonos. we can’t say the n word, whatever the fuck that is, and we can’t deride the gays, or any other ethnic group. which is cool with me, cause who the fuck cares anymore, anyway.
yeah, seb got banned, and fatso got banned, and a host of others. i guess my turn is coming too then. but really, what other site, is half as good as here, tell me that. oh i mean one that is actually read day to day.
