You, sir, are THE top of the line scum bag. Thanks for wasting my time and energy on stroking your own ego by pretending to be a dude with a ‘film company.’ Yeah, I still got to do what I love but what about your end of the bargain? YA KNOW making the film? YA KNOW the whole reason I went all the way out there to begin with spending time and gas money. What a flippiin loser.. —Vote Ped ro

Did you research this at all? Do you often grab hold of promises strangers make and think they’ll hold up their end of the bargain? Do you hold yourself even partially responsible?
Sooooooo – you spent the morning stepping on various squishy things in a selection of Jimmy Choos and your “director” is more interested in peddling the finished product to the Asian Businessman Fetish Market rather than entering it in the A.F.F.? You could always increase your profile by going the Amanda Bynes route.
you know, if one gets to wear jimmy choos, even if just for a moment, wouldn’t that be payment enough?
I knew a guy way back when who would buy a gal a pair of really nice shoes if you let him tag along while you tried them on. he wore black robes in his day job and one of those scabby looking white wigs.
Sooo…you’re an idiot. Bravo, idiot!!!

Welcome to Hollywood East, bay-bee!
I’ve had this happen to me, OP. Spending all that time memorizing lines, getting the inflection in your voice right, rehearsing, going to shoots, hoping you’ll get to see the finished product only never to here from buddy again. Meaty is right – research the project before you invest in it. If the ‘director’ is just a guy with a nice camera and maybe some other dude holding a boom, they’re PROBABLY not going to produce a very good film. But if I were you I’d still take the part anyway – maybe you’ll meet someone interesting to add to your network or heck, maybe you’ll even have a good time!

Meaty is right op. You didn’t ask any questions, you didn’t do any research. If a Nigerian Prince emailed you, would you start sending money? Of course not. You’d likely ignore it or AT THE VERY LEAST look into it.
(hint: ignore it)
If somebody offers you something, look into it before accepting. The better the offer, the more you NEED TO LOOK INTO IT.
Lesson learned? Don’t let another douche take advantage of you again.
What do you do? People say “have faith”,”trust people” but when you do and are taken advantage of, the same people that told you to believe in people are the first ones to call you a fucking dumbass.
You should believe in people. People who have given you some reason to believe in them. Them telling you what you want to hear is not a reason to believe in them.
op do you even have an agent? Get some headshots, prepare a portfolio and sign up with a good, REPUTABLE agency.
Agents are jackasses but unfortunately life is a lot easier if you have one.
Not everyone can be taken at their word….Even those who have given you reason to believe in them can stab you in the back.
Ever since I was a lad, I’ve always dreamed of pretending to be a film director.
