Why don’t people forward their mail when they move? I’ve been living in this apartment now for a YEAR and I am still receiving prior tenants’ mail. Whenever I have moved, I always forward my shit, why can’t others do the same? How long do I have to write “return to sender” on other people’s mail?? —You Got Mail

Probably because they don’t want it. I’m thankful that I’ve moved a bunch of times and escaped the dreaded junk mail. The REAL question to should be… WHY don’t the senders cancel sending them?? I think of charity mail outs… and all the thousands of dollars in postage that’s wasted every month. It was awful where I used to work. And they would just keep sending it!
You’re very nice for sending it back, though OP.
I was told a number of years ago that what lands in my mailbox (regardless of who it is addressed to) is my property. I received HUNDREDS of CD’s and books over the years I lived at that address @ no cost to moi.
forwarding isn’t cheap these days. it’s better to just call the companies, and give them the new address. i usually do just that.
I think Canada Post charges $60 for it now, and they still fuck it up. Outrageous.
a change of business address was about $120…gack. on a side note, i’m waiting for something that was mailed from purdy’s wharf last tuesday!!! do not have your passport mailed, pay the extra 10 bucks and pick it up yourself
Goin’ on a trip, painey???
hopefully in the future, but the boy needs his renewed so he can get an ohip card. plus he wants to go to buffalo^^ sometimes our family goes out of the country for christmas. i look less like a fugitive from justice in my latest photo. take your glasses off, don’t smile…not my best look
fuck snail mail, use electronic, and do your banking and other shit online, like most of us do.
ya, that’s a nice admission of mail fraud Koda.
smrt.
so if a carjacker hands you a set of keys, their yours right?
you didn’t ask for em, he gave em to you and they’re in YOUR hand….

Shred it, especially if they are bills.
Scan them all and upload them to wikileaks
Yes, LS, I can’t believe how little mail I get now that I pay everything online. Just try this OP:

you can’t miss with a seinfeld reference tommy. a lot of government business taxes cannot be paid on-line
Here’s a tip…throw it in the garbage!
Ah, wasn’t aware of that PG. That’s one of my face Seinfeld moments. “telegraph, e-mail, fax!” that shit never gets old to me.
I HATE this. Every few weeks I get a delivery of baby formula. I don’t even HAVE a baby. I get lots of other mail belonging to the previous tenants as well. Annoying as fuck. I always do the Canada Post thing, it’s just a moving cost that should be factored in. Every time you get a piece of mail with the yellow sticker, call the company and change that address. It’s not fucking hard. People are lazy!
my last home used to have a superbox on the corner…..all junk mail and mail that didn’t belong to me went back down the mail slot LOL
Who bothers? Throw that shit out.
