Perhaps your perception of abuses are arbitrarily altered for sympathy and attention
What one knows of another’s “real” life is impossible. We never really know what roams through the deepest darkest recesses of one’s mind
All that you are factually aware of is what one has told you. Then consider what the motive, context and reason may be for said “abuses”
Most importantly to consider would be of course the reason you no longer speak to this person, and the clear fact that you were pushed unwillingly away
