This is two bitches in one post. To the people who cross the highway between Highfield and Burnside (by the Metro transit building) you are going to kill yourself and probably cause a major accident. Every day I have to slow down in that area because you people run across the highway. I undestand that their is no real pedestrian route from Highfield to burside which sucks and brings me to my second bitch,is to the city! put a footbridge there, the one sidewalk into burside on the overpass is 2 feet wide, and more of a curb than a route for foot traffic.
p.s Does anyone know who to call and complain to/ request a foot bridge?

Its kinda funny because this has been an issue for some time now, they were thinking of putting a bridge through there for people to walk through. Now if only they will…
Yeah but I think they are waiting for someone to get killed. Maybe they can put some of this bail out money into doing the right thing,
I worked in Burnside in the summer off 2005 and this was a definite issue then. I can’t imagine what it’s like in the winter.
Wonder how many people have been creamed trying to cross the highway there?
The issue is on the table, mentioned on CTV news last week. They’re arguing if the foot bridge should be closer to the Timmy’s or closer to the bridge. We might get a decision in another decade or so. (HRM is so backward)
I agree i use this everyday, i work at Xerox in burnside and i am 6 foot and 255 pounds and i cross that bridge everyday and pray when i do, i ahve almost been hit 2-3 t imes and there is nothing i can do, it is the only way into burnside from highfield. I would love to see something down. And for all those who take there time and be careful when you see a pedestrian up there, trust me we all thank you
