My usual ‘onion bagel with herb &garlic cream cheese’ will no longer be heard.
When I first arrived in Canada, your portions were fairly –not ideal, but fair– good. Now? They’re not even ‘okay.’
I end up with a burnt bagel and a nickel sized amount of cream cheese. You’ve lost a customer.

Hey, Just curious as to where you came from, not being sarcastic or anything, i’m also not from here originally and noticed quite the difference in the so called generosity and freedom of north america, or maybe it’s the imaginary generosity and freedom of north america, because sometimes i doubt it even exists!
Dude, it all depends on which location you go to. I think we all know what coffee shop you’re referring to and at mine, they always put waaay too much cream cheese on it! Piled up half an inch high on both halves! Uck!
I also believe I know which coffee shop you are referring to. I have also had this problem in the past and recommend that you ask for your cream cheese on the side! This is what I always do, they give you a generous amount in a little container and you can choose how much or how little you put on your bagel. When it comes to the burnt part…can’t help you there, you’ll just have to suck it up unfortunately…their bagel toasters SUCK!
Canada is the greatest country in the world but it is better than some makes me wonder did you just come to Canada for the onion bagel with cheese? small price to leave a country eh?
I’m guessing you’re from America- because I can’t imagine anyone from the rest of the world thinking our portions are small- and are upset that that bagel isn’t the size of a dinner plate. What would you prefer, a country with shitty bagels or legal gun ownership and George Bush? I’ll take the stupid bagel!
Hey, whenever your bagel disappointment becomes too much to bear give me a call. I’d be happy to drive you to the airport. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
lynn i second that!
