On Monday I was heading north when I suddenly got a flat tire and pulled over at a bus stop. It was extremely cold out and I was on the way to take my elderly mother to a doctor’s appointment so I found myself in quite a dilemma. Being a bit of a ‘girly-girl’, I had never changed a tire in my life and I had no idea what I was going to do. As I was standing there, pondering my options, a gentleman in a grey truck pulled over in front of me and with no hesitation, he pulled the spare tire out of my trunk, knelt down in the slush and proceeded to change my tire in no time at all. Unfortunately, I didn’t get his full name but I’d like to extend my heartfelt appreciation and thanks to this kind stranger. There aren’t many people around who would take time out of their own day to help a stranger change a tire in such cold, messy weather. It is people like this who restore my faith in humanity. So thank you and please know that I plan to pay it forward! – Thank You
