To the landlord of a south end apartment building with a popular pizza place downstairs:
FIX THE ELEVATOR!
It’s been broken for honestly over a MONTH now! I can surely walk 4 flights (how about those up on the 9th floor?) But I’ve been waiting to have a couch delivered for over a MONTH! I’ve had to reschedule the delivery date 5 times because you asshats have no idea what you’re doing!
I’m aware that you’re proboly as upset as I am that the company is taking so long (or whatever?) but maybe you have the WRONG COMPANY fixing it! Cripes, this is getting RIDICULOUS!
FIX IT!

Funny. I live in the same building, on the same floor. And I agree, it’s been waaaaaaaaay too long!
Did you complain to the tenancy board? It could be a health/safety issue, especially is someone has health or mobility issues. As for the couch, can’t your furniture store delivery people walk up 4 flights of stairs? My newest couch was hauled up 6 stories after they realised it didn’t fit in the elevator. It didn’t seem to bother the 2 middle-aged guys doing all the work.
I did not complain to the tenancy board about it being a health/safety issue as there is still 1 working elevator (which is too small to fit my couch.) On that note, the delivery company will only do ‘3’ flights of stairs.Upon offering extra cash for the additional flight they checked and discovered the stairwell as well is too low for my new couch. The Bay have been exceedingly understanding in my postponing of the delivery date over 5 times, but the Elevator company which has promised some part to arrive about 3 times now are terrible.I hope to soon discover the company so I may post a bitch about them.To the person on my floor who previously replied – If you’re 408, I apologize about my Bass – I’ve since taken my satellite speakers ‘off the wall’ and moved them to my desk.
