It happens. I first used the site in 2005 and messaged someone complimenting their profile and photos. They said it was a joy reading mine and suggested exchanging MSN addresses. Then she never talked to me.
I think she’s got a kid and some busted looking bf now 😀
When i was on that site, I gave my number out with the express message, “I use my cell for text only.” Two guys ignored this and called.
Some of us learned our lesson when we got stuck on our phones with lame morons.
I love the uneducated bitches who expect to be catered to and fawned over but have absolutely nothing to offer themselves. Have fun, cunts.

no, it’s the older knock you out when you go there by boyfriend that in hiding there. just waiting for her next fish to come and pay visit. i actually saw this happen to a guy, lucky i was there, or he could have really gotten hurt.and females on those sites are never what they claim to be. this is the same scenario as the pizza driver robbers thing. and probly same ones doing it.

n t h, if you are smart, you and a lot of people would stay off them. very few people have had any luck on any of them. and some are free, like plenty of fish, but most just con you into joining free, then you have to pay, to send someone a message. they mostly just suck.
If they don’t answer, sign up their phone number with call marketing campaigns.
i have a system that works pretty well when i exchange numbers for the first time, if i give you my number, i expect yours too. so when i give you my number, i’ll say the best time to get a hold of me. ‘i work tomorrow till 5, so that says to reasonable people:Call after 5. so if i call you, when you said you would be available, and you don’t answer, i do not get insulted. you’re busy, go called into work or out or what ever. i will text about 3 hours later. if i still get no response i wait. i do not wait by a phone. i have a lot of other things that can be done. i do a thre strikes you’re out rule. i will try to communicate three methods, email, call, text for for three days. not three consecutive days. but three days and if i get no response. i cut my losses. and move on. i would like to break this cycle of being single but i am not going to sit by a phone waiting for someone to call me back after they have made it clear they’re not interested.
i guess i just kinda fall under that category of ‘level headed women’ i know, its a short list. but don’t get me started on my intolerance for most women….

I met one of my ex-girlfriends from a similar site… Let’s just say there’s a reason why she’s an ex.
LS, I may not be all that smart, but I stay off those sites because I have no need for it now that I am married. 🙂 But I have heard and experienced enough horror stories to know that people just aren’t what they appear to be online.
I know of this person who tried those sites, got a g/f, something happened and she got really mad at him, threw a brick through his parents’ car window. Another guy found a girl from a foreign country, and after a while they started talking about meeting in RL, and he offered to pay for her trip to come down to the States. He did ask me for an advice after he didn’t hear from her for a while. It broke my heart to tell him that she was probably doing it for money or to come to the States then disappear. She even told him that her folks were looking forward to meeting him etc. There are some heartless b@*&^es out there…but I’m sure there are nice ones too, somewhere in the vast internet universe.
