This is directed to the three idiots who are setting off fireworks in the Commons as im writing this as well as all the previous idiots who do the same thing every weekend…why?

blaa blaa blaa fireworks are sold legally in lots of stores and if people want to buy them and go to a place like the commons to shoot them off, so be it. Why is it that people like you have to shoot your mouth off about things that don’t affect you? Did it hurt you? Damage your property? Why do you care. Mind your onw business. Don’t move to fairview cause they let them go off every night in their back yards rather then in a huge field.
People don’t need your permission to celebrate anything
They involve fire and explosions. They’re pretty. I think 90% of people are hooked by at least one of those two things.

Fireworks are fun, but whatever you do, don’t go out and enjoy the show with a bottle ‘o wine or a beer…Last July 1 the North Van RCMP boasted publicly about the 300 plus tickets they gave out for, *gasp* “open alchohol”.
No word in their report though, regarding the number of burglars, robbers and thieves that took advantage of the carte blanch for the night while the RCMP kept the park safe from picnickers…
I couldn’t have said what the ad was for = ). I just liked to watch the fear in their faces.

In reading the comments…I just had a thought, people around the commons don’t want race cars, don’t want concerts, don’t want fire works, I am really surprised the dog walkers aren’t complaining about people playing games there. The people playing games pissed off at people walking their dogs. When are we going to start hearing about the lawnmowers on the commons being too loud, too inconvienient ?
Maybe it’s time to pave it & call it the common parking area of Halifax…free parking !
I’ve been here over 5 years and can’t remember touching a blade of grass @ the commons yet. drive through there all the time, but never stop to do anything…. may as well be parking lot IMO.
