you proceeded and left your vechicle, it took ten + minutes and other cars had to drive around yours which also caused a possible hazard to pedestrians and other cars. Next time the police will be called. I have your number dumb ass. It wasn’t a busy day and many spots were open and close by. If you need an ambulance I hope some other dumb ass is there in the fire lane so you don’t get help in time as it obious that you don’t give a rats ass about your fellow man or woman or child. Screw you. Next time you’re getting towed end of story. What I love are the assfucks who somehow feel entitled to park in the fire lane outside my building and block the entrances, especially when they do it in the winter. Nothing pisses me off more, especially considering visitor parking is like 15 feet away.
Last winter I actually made two asshats move when they were parked in front of the front and side entrance walkway because I refused to scale snow to get in my building. I stood in front of their cars and glared until they got the hint and moved.
Next winter I’m probably going to throw snow balls with rocks in them.

When there are 5or6 handicap spots available, it should be legal to use them as 15min parking. An empty spot is a waste to everyone.

My favourite are the new “Hybrid Parking Only” spots. (I found these in Dartmouth Crossing) I couldn’t believe what I was reading. Srsly? Fuck you hippie! How the hell do you enforce that? There is no law. They can’t legally ticket you, so I always try and make a point to park there when I have to visit this particular group of businesses. Besides, why should an allegedly environmentally responsible hybrid driving hippie be awarded for their choice of vehicle by being allowed to park closer to the door. If anything, they should be made to walk further. After all, it’s the environmentally friendly thing to do. It ranks right up there with “Pregnant Woman Parking” only. Your pregnant FFS, not disabled. It’s bullshit.
In a perfect world, I would form an underground organization that would monitor the use of handicap parking, and whenever we identify a store as having unused and wasteful handicap parking….we would do things like park derelict cars in those spots(with handicap permits) and monitor how long it takes for someone to notice.
Btw, I remember bicycling through montana in my day. Some of the mountain parks kept campsites reserved specifically for handicap use…if a handicap person did not claim the spot by 6pm, anyone was allowed to take the spot. This was a huge benefit to cyclists, as we dont always have the time to travel to the next campgrounds if the one you are at is already no vacancy.

But recently I had another run in with a ‘handicapped’ person & their vehicle (& I use the word handicapped lightly)
We had a person with a handicapped sticker , knock over the cones & signage saying “the parking lot was closed”
When she stopped & we pointed out the parking lot was closed & the building the lot belongs to was also closed & she had to leave.
She threw a fit.
Kept bitching about how she was handicapped & shouldn’t be kept out of the lot & because of her handicapped tag she should be able to park in the handicapped section reguardless if the rest of the lot was closed.
Oh yeah, her handicap…she is obese.
I kid you not, that is what she said, when we asked if she was handicapped person the tag was for (there was no cane, or any sign of a physical problem)
