Lack of or difficulty finding an assertive lady over 70 in Halifax area: I have been seeking an assertive demanding lady over 70 who has no compulsion in stating her demands and being in charge for a very, very long time in this area to date—no success. Women in this area seem to be sexually repressed at this stage in life and un-open to experimentation. Sad for them. —Wanderer

Pretty sure most 70+ woman, anywhere, are sexually repressed. Their days of experimentation ended in the 1960’s.

Perhaps the reason for your lack of success is that the lady over 70 has no compulsion in stating her demands. Perhaps she’s just not interested in being in charge for a very, very long time.

they are all probably taken already or just not interested.
my aunts, my mother in law, all the 60+ women I knew when I was younger shrank from ever marrying again. that generation of women was stuck with all the housework, cooking, nursemaiding and didn’t want to be saddled with it in their ‘retirement’ years. because that kind of job never stops.
those women spent their time shopping, playing card games, going to movies, vacations, museums, concerts – having a grand old time.
some of them had lovers, but would not move in with them or marry them. my mil lost her lover because he insisted on marriage. so he moved on to someone who wanted that.
the 70+ women I know now do not want to re-marry for the same reason. so much freedom finally.
