Just because your last fare didn’t pay does not mean I am not obligated to turn over the $1.05 i found in the backseat. Kicking us out and then telling the other cab not to pick us up seems a little extreme for a $1.05? hope you get a flat tire and someone pukes in your backseat.

  1. you chose to be kicked out of the cab over a 1.05 that you found in his cab. you sound very petty.

  2. “does not mean I am not obligated”.. this is a double negative… what the hell does this mean? Everything not on your person when you get into a cab belongs to and is the responsibility of the driver. How would you like it if you gave a friend a ride and they found money in your car… it’s theirs? Finders-keepers? Your wrong. It’s right up there with getting pulled over and searched… even though your friend brought the pot into the car it’s yours once it’s found by cops because you’re the driver. Get it? Keep your hands to yourself.

  3. uhh, I don’t think it is kay, if a person has pot on them in your car, it’s still theirs. I could be wrong on that one though not sure. However I agree with everything else

  4. Yeah… I’m a licensed driver… it’s up there with open liquor… the driver is responsibile. No secret.

  5. LOL can we tell 1fallingangels1 is new here, or what? I’ll just stuff that one in my affirmation bucket and get on with this beautiful day before I actually fall in love. LOL

  6. Actually it was agreement in that I don’t have the time and effort to look into that one in order to prove you otherwise, although I am about 95% sure you are incorrect on that one

  7. Sure, charge the passenger for open liquor or any other cargo…. not likely. The only thing the driver is not responsible for is their adult passengers refusing to buckle up and for what they have concealed on their person. Everything else is the driver’s responsibility… makes you think twice before picking up a drug addict whore, doesn’t it? Food for thought.

  8. hmm…soo let me think about this, if a cab driver picks up a passenger who is carrying a gram of weed in her purse, is responsible for that weed, kinda contradicting sense the cab driver has no right to search that person. Open liquor is a little different considering in order for it to be open it has to be out in the OPEN for the driver to see.

  9. a gram of weed in her purse is “concealed on [her] person”

But yeah, hesitate before giving your crack-addict brother a ride anywhere… when the blue lights are flashin’ in the rear view, if he ditches his stash in your car (no longer concealed on his person), it belongs to the driver unless you can convince the arresting cop otherwise… both are likely to be charged for possession.

“Open liquor” means the bottle has been opened, not just that the cap has been removed or that it’s been poured into a glass.

  10. if someone leaves anything inside your car and they do not claim it to be theirs in the eyes of the law it is your posession. However, if it is in thier purse or on thier person it is theirs. I know this as a friend of mine had a guy friend of his in his car who brought a bag of stolen goods with him into the car. when they got pulled over at a traffic stop the passenger claimed the bag was not his so my friend got charged with possession of stolen property.

perhaps kay has knowledge of this because she was the drug addicted whore in the car? just asking, i know she claimed to be some kind of recovered addict/person who has done everything/bitterest person in the world title

  11. i didnt ask if you had a criminal record i asked if you were a drug addicted whore passenger

  12. I think it would be hilarious if Kay was on a most wanted list.

PS: Fat, your avatars man-boobs are starting to disturb me.

  13. that’s why I chose that avatar, Dino.

kid’s got a rack that super models would overdose over!

  14. I think someone watches COPS… including me.

not sure about canada but in the states, you’re toast if it’s found in the car but not on a person….. unless someone fesses up. if no-one fesses up,then it’s considered everyones and you’re all charged.
If it’s found in their pocket then it’s theirs, kay.
the driver sure wouldn’t be slipping it in someone’s pocket or purse without them knowing…

fallingangel, don’t get sucked into it…I’ve been down that path and everyone gets hostile because he/she/it just never stops with the BS.

  15. It’s the same in Canada. Contraband in the car is the driver’s responsibility unless said contraband is on someone’s person or someone claims it.

Just as if a friend lends you their car and it has no valid registration or insurance. You as the driver get nailed not the owner.

As for the OP, if it’s not yours, then keep your fucking hands off it.

  16. Wow did this one ever get off topic. I click in expecting to hear rants about cab drivers being assholes, and there’s a fucking Law & Order transcript for me to read! I’m very diappointed.

  17. True that nevermind. I this case, the OP is definitely the asshole. Sure, petty on both of their part, however, the OP had no business taking change found in the back of the driver’s car. The honest thing to do would have been for the OP to offer it to the driver, and perhaps the cabbie would have let the OP keep it. But I know I would have done have done the same thing if I saw someone do something with such a sense of entitlement.

  18. Well….the backseat of a taxi ISN’T the same as a street corner…the taxi drivers owns the car so, whatever’s in the backseat that the OP didn’t bring into the car I think DOES belong to the driver.

    Although BOTH were being asshats.

  19. I’ve found money in the backseat of cabs on several occasions. But the cab driver never knew because I just put it in my pocket without saying anything. What did the OP do? Get so excited about finding $1 that htey had to announce it?

    Use some fucking common sense.
