I just moved back to Halifax after years away and I’m already sick of walking out my front door with the filth. Bags of dog shit, bags of garbage ripped up and spewed across the sidewalks, cigarette butts by the millions, Over flowing green bins, BAGS OF DOG SHIT!!! There is no one else to blame. Does no one give a rats ass?? Why is this ok?? A lot of folks who live in Halifax come from small towns and I ask where those values are now? Because Halifax in itself is a small town, but why no values? Simple, easy everyday stuff like having pride and being clean…..no concept….this place is a filthy fuckin mess….why is it ok??
It’s fuckin shameful is what it is. This place could be much better. Those who spew their mess without thought of care are FUCKIN IDIOTS and should be treated as such…….you dirty bastards are ruining it for the rest of us!!!!….I’m tired of this shit………no really, go fuck yourselves. —PHYUK AULF

Sounds like you live in a dumpster community. Do the glowing fast food signs keep you awake at night?
LOL, you moved back to Halifax. I assume you left for a reason, so why would you think things changed for the better? Still the same, no jobs, shitty people, shitty PC attitudes, shitty government and lazy government workers…now that’s a recipe for success and change if I’ve ever seen one. In order for things to get better it’s gonna take some hard work, and we all know that in a city where more than 1/3 of the population works for the government that isn’t going to happen, that’s someone else’s job. But hey, we can get you a study on that for $1,500,000 in about 3 years.
Spryfield.
I agree. I wrote this piece on Halifax litter–two types–recently

Link above is missing. I think you would find you were less angry and frustrated if you tried, even a little, to do something about it. Try “A Little Less Litter Cape Breton” on Facebook. If everyone picked up a couple of pieces a day, and got at least one or two other people to do it, we would use our existing infrastructure to solve the problem and enjoy our spaces again. We would create a “Litter NOT welcome” culture. Be the change….
Thanks for the note about Joanne’s broken link, Mb. It’s fixed now—one less piece of cyber junk littering up the site.
