To all of you idiots out there who apparently can’t read road signs, the speed limit on the bay road between the intersection going to dunbrack and the intersection going to exhibiton park is 80 km, not fucking 50. I’m aware that 80 can be a scary speed for you pensioners, but some of us have places to be and would like to get there in less than a week. So either put your foot on the gas pedal or get the fuck out of my way.

Did you ever consider that people don’t want to wreck their fucking cars on the dozens of deep potholes on that stretch? 80 km might be fine under normal conditions but not at this time of year, dipshit. Maybe you’ve got the dough to spend on repairs, I don’t. You got places to go? You fucking infant – boo-fucking-hoo – so you’ll get to your destination a whole minute later. So suck it up – I refuse to fuck up my only mode of transporation for your impatient ass.
The potholes are fucking phenomenal this year too. Deep, and, in some cases, way too big to go around. Hit one of those at high speed…
That’s exactly my point. Why should I have to pay out big bucks just so Princess can get one car length ahead? Just because a speed limit is posted on a sign does not mean that it applies to all road conditions – it’s the suggested speed when conditions are good. A two foot pothole suggests to me that conditions are anything but.
I’m sorry, but when did I say that this applied directly to the winter weather? I don’t see any potholes in the summer, and people still feel the need to go 50. so um… i think the thing that we are over looking is two little words, speed and limit, together they describe the maximum it is leagle to go, this does not mean that you have to go this fast, just that you are aloud to go this fast. so maybe instead of leaving it to the last minute to get to where ever it is that is so important for you to be, and letting it take yuo a week. you should, i don’t know… leave with more time to get there. because if it is important enough for you to get there on time, it is important enough for you to get there alive… isn’t it?

xox, slowing down to 50 is not going to delay you by a week. It may delay you by maybe 60 seconds, tops! Do an experiment and maybe you’ll slow down too realizing life’s too short to be “road raging” over a few seconds and always in a hurry to stress other people out. Just for fun (my fun, that is) do that same experiment in icy conditions and then tell us all about it.

Just out of curiosity, BRB, how far to you have to travel on the Bay Rd? The distance from the
Armdale Rotary to Upper Tantallon – the end of the Bay Rd, is about 25 km. So assuming you have to drive the entire length of the Bay Rd at 50 km/h instead of 80 km/h, it will take you about 11 minutes longer. Is 11 minutes really worth this kind of stress and aggravation? It’s just my opinion, but I think life really is too short to spend 11 minutes a day seething with impotent rage. Use those extra 11 minutes in the car to listen to something you enjoy. Breathe… Accept… Move on.

First you get bitches about people screamin’ by at crazy speeds, now it’s going to slow. How are we ever to please people? I would admit that fifty does sound slow for an eighty zone but if the road is as tore up as people suggest, 11 mins is likely not worth a bent rim/flat tire/wheel alignment. Too bad people’s commonsensical views on driving are so vastly different. One would think they should align a little more closely.

To the person who mentioned the max. speed limit. It’s not illegal to go the speed limit. It is illegal, though, to go too slow below the speed limit. This can be just as hazardous as someone going too fast. I do agree with the slowing down with potholes, though. Some are huge and can come up on you pretty fast! Especially when the pavement is wet! Damn city needs to get theirs buts out there and start repairing those babies! I don’t feel like replacing a tire or anything on my car anytime soon thanks.
It is illegal to drive the speed limit when road conditions make it dangerous.I have yet to see this law enforced though.
