Problems arrise when uneducated people have extreme opinions on things they really know nothing about. And instead of say, researching the subject, they use their imagination and word of mouth. Why have such strong feelings for something you so obviously know nothing about? And better yet why do you feel the need to tell all of us about it? STFU!

People who hold “extreme” opinions tend to have no trouble finding “evidence” to support their conclusions, no matter how much ‘research” they do. In fact, they rather enjoy the research, finding the evidence they need to support their stance, rather than formulating a stance based on evidence. So, for every chucklehead who knows that AIDS is God’s curse on the wicked, you’ll have no trouble finding someone who can “prove” 9-11 was an inside job. Still think “education” is the answer OP?

But what are these “extreme opinions” and how are they to be identified? Further, who are these “uneducated people” who really know nothing about those things on which they have those extreme opinions?
Given what fc87 has said, it seems to me that he is an example of precisely what he is talking about. He is clearly an uneducated person who has extreme opinions on things he really knows nothing about. That being the case, fc87 is clearly himself an ignorant asshole. However, I shall follow his advice and take a stand. I shall stop his ignorance from becoming an epidemic.

Op here is a subject I happen to have a bit of knowledge about. It’s called Freedom and what life is like when you have none. See op.. I have had none before. And you soon realize that ‘educated’ or ‘informed’ are just words to replace the idea that if you’re not on board with the most popular form of propaganda, you are in grave danger. You won’t get frustrated or irritated or annoyed. We’re talking levels of fear, intimidation and threat of bodily harm that do not exist in this country. There is even a country out there that, if you do not share their opinions, THREE GENERATIONS are purged to ensure your thoughts never escape your living room.
Idiots and opiners alike have a wonderful freedom in this country and that freedom is the ability to speak one’s mind, regardless of whether or not they are educated on the subject or (and I think this hits closer to home now, op, doesn’t it?) whether or not they AGREE WITH YOU.
See op, I am on your side. If someone says something stupid, ill-informed or hateful or even if they say something you PLAIN DON’T LIKE, you have every right to say what you want right back at them. Freedom is wonderful that way. Canada might not be as free as America in that regard but it’s a damn sight better than some places i’ll decline to mention – i’m sure you can drum up a laundry list as quickly as I can..
But the idea that restrictions should be put on those who do not share your opinions or do not have your same alleged level of education IS IN ITSELF AN EXTREME OPINION.
I’m not trying to put you in your place because I get your frustration and I also believe you have every right to that extreme opinion. Just giving you a reality check.
