Even a trivial act makes a difference

To the girl crossing Spring Garden Road who made a comment as I was stopped on my bike waiting for the light to change: as trivial as it was, a compliment from a stranger brightened an otherwise shitty day. I just wanted to let you know because I didn’t really say anything at the time. —Commuter
