My views on escorts may be different than most people. Either way it’s my view and this is a place to bitch so here it is. Over the years, I’ve come to know a few escorts. Most were classy and some were very trashy. The trashy ones seemed to be the ones who are ruining it for the classy gals that genuinely provide companionship to upscale gentlemen. The one thing that REALLY PISSES ME OFF is the fact that they are doing in service and will continued to do so without problems or without getting caught.
Everybody knows that in service is illegal, so why are the police turning a blind eye to it? A big percentage of these so called escorts provide in service. WHAT IS BEING DONE ABOUT IT? Not a damn thing. It clearly states that it’s illegal to solicit for sex in Canada. Why are they not stopped? I know this girl that lives in the North End Halifax. She has been escorting and doing in service for over 7 years. She even advertises her sexual services that she offers in her ads.
Somebody please explain to me why these in service escorts are not stopped? It’s obvious they are turning a blind eye to it but why? Is there a real benefit in letting these trashy escorts provide an illegal service? —Confused

is it legal, probly, but do they get busted, probly not. unless someone actually calls the cops in, there is little to nothing that you can do about it, without proof. and that is where the big problem lies, getting proof. if you lay a trap, they yell entrapment, and you get fucked, a different way.and some of the more upscale co.use body gaurds. you don’t wanna fuck with these boys bub. trust me here, when i tell you, just let it go, and don’t sweat what is not directly concerning yourself. the new day looks better, if you are able to see it.
FYI,
It isn’t illegal to do what they are doing. It is illegal for a “john” to go looking for it or “procure” somebody for prostitution. However it is legal to advertise or make available yourself for prostitution purposes as long as your not doing it in a public place so that it doesn’t impede traffic i.e. standing on the corner flagging down cars. So if you put your number on the internet for a service and somebody calls you and you meet them at a private residence only the “john” has broken the law for procuring.
So the service is not illegal therefore most Escorts who know what they’re doing, can not be arrested and the police aren’t turning a blind eye to it. Our laws are.

I once saw a dude horn in on an older fella and his company one time at the casino. I don’t see why this pisses you off. Prostitution has been around since the dawn of time. It’s not going anywhere. If you make a guy wine and dine you before you give him some, then you’re no better. Many women engage in what I would consider prostitution. But society doesn’t consider it prostitution because she is not straight up exchanging sex for money, but she still kind of is. Most women won’t f*ck a broke/cheap guy. Many women expect the man to pay for everything and buy them nice gifts. Not all women, but many. It should be legal, but it’s too political so the gov’t and politicians don’t have the balls to make that happen. Perfect example of why it should be legal:
I lived on Windmill Rd. in Dartmouth for a couple years, I recently moved. This is known as a hot spot for picking up cheap hookers. There used to be a “Massage Parlor” on Windmill, it was a brothel. Since they raided many times and eventually shut it down, the hookers are now taking their services to the street. This obviously increases the danger of what they do. It makes the neighborhood instantly more seedy and brings undesirables to the area to indulge in their services.
My question is this: WHO IS THAT HELPING? Not me the taxpayer, I now have to look at these nasty girls on my way home from work, and try no to make eye contact with them as they try to flag me down. It makes my neighborhood that much shittier to live in. They now are at a much higher risk of abduction, rape, and pretty much any other crime one be a victim of.
The johns that frequent them are also putting themselves at a higher risk because they don’t a safe(r) indoor environment to indulge in their johning ways.
To all you women who look down on prostitutes, know that they exsist because there are men out there that have been rejected by a thousand women, maybe for superficial reasons. (maybe for good reasons too)

I don’t really know how I feel about prostitution.. I think It’s disgusting but then again, I’m a woman and could never imagine selling myself to make a buck.
I guess if there are people out there who do this for a living we could at least make it safe by legalizing it.. but it still grosses me out.
I think a lot of these women/girls need to seek therapy and then if they are seen as mentally fit (not drug addicts, no personality/mental disorders) they can do as they please.. If not, they’re not seen as mentally stable they should have mandatory therapy sessions to deal with their issues.
Otherwise 9/10 times I will view this as men preying on victims of society.
