Every year you like to boast about all the awards that you pay for. You go on about being an employer of choice and I do appreciate my contract but… what do you call an employer that dropped the Christmas bonus because “it’s a taxable benefit”, who gives time off and Christmas dinner to day-workers but the shift workers get cold leftovers at 2:30pm and no time off? Not one manager bothered to drop in and say “Happy Holidays” I say bah humbug to you and I’m not going to worry about taking a sick day off. —Worker

be glad you have a job o.p., there are plenty of people that don’t. bonuses have almost become a thing of the past, and you have to realize that. i work for myself, and get none.
OP, that sucks. Thankfully plenty of companies in NS are grateful and treat their employees with respect, offering such things as: bonuses, extended paid vacation over the holidays, Xmas dinners, Xmas brunch buffets, bottles of liquid refreshment, etc. If your company’s actions irked you, you may want to look for another job, or just put in what they give out.
