I was super excited to go see kung fu panda i am in line getting pop corn (yay) i get to the counter and they asked me if i wanted butter on my popcorn i agreed so then you charged me! you have a little scam set up because i could have walked behind me to use the butter machine!!! and saved 2.00!!!!!

2 bucks for BUTTER!!! are you fucking kidding me?!
I felt the same way when it happened to me. I found out, at least I’m told that the butter they charge you for is Real Butter, and I’m guessing the fountain butter is a step up from motor oil.
Doesn’t surprise me any , considering its what like 12 or 13 bucks for some popcorn and fountain pop that probably costs them like a buck.Thats why you should just bring your snacks with ya. The popcorn they serve isn’t even very good. Not worth the price thats for sure .

Do you people never go to the movies? Seriously, how are you just finding this out now?? It’s called an upsell. Lots of places do it, Want gravy with your fries? Guess what, it isn’t free. Here’s a tip, if someone offers you something extra with what you order, 9/10 times it is going to cost you something. And it is your fault for not having asked what it would cost when you paid.
honesly i havent been to the movies in a while and i never get popcorn so this was all new to me! i just figured taht since they had butter machines it would ahve been free!but i will keep that in mind in the future
Isn’t asking if you want butter on your popcorn like asking if you’d like mayo on your sandwich? There should be no charge for a CONDIMENT.
Like Adam said, they don’t charge you if you want the “butter” like substance you’re used to which you add yourself at the condiment bar. They ask you if you want real butter, and if you do, you pay extra for it. That $2 probably saved your stomach at least $10 worth of ache later.
I used to work at empire theatres and well they do trick you it’s a known fact.If you’re an ass hole customer they’ll charge you for liek 5 times butter.Also the butter is only 56 cents : )…But, the fact is the butter behind bar is real butter and it stays hot.. the pump one is just fake crap that is nasty and like deteriorates your popcorn.yummm
