Am I the only one who has noticed no construction activity or workers these past 2 weeks on the Fairview Overpass? I realize there’s probably a good reason for this, but I can’t find anything telling me what said reason might be. I’m thinking 6 months might have been too wishful an end date. Stop if you have to, but keep us informed.

I guess you didn’t get a big cheque with the conservative party logo on it did you?
but they were planting trees on dunbrack st. today. gotta get me a job with the fucken city.
No big C cheques yet for me. That overpass is in a red riding, and so am I. Figures.
See? There’s your answer, PDG! You have to be living in a riding as blue as Peter MacKay’s balls before any stimulus spending gets in your riding.
It’s a tendered job, so they don’t give a damn how long it takes them. No doubt they have other jobs in the side and are working on those to make some quick cash. Expect to see nothing started for another 1.5 months.
Dr. Fever, you owe me a keyboard for that PM comment. Remember 2 years ago when that overpass in Minneapolis collapsed? That managed to get fixed months ahead of schedule, possibly due to incentives. I have yet to see any early completion incentives, or heavy late fines inserted into any of our tenders around here. Instead, we get Fenwick Hole.
