The rest of us aren’t allowed on with food or drink, I would like to know A) How you managed to get it past the bus driver B) Why you think you’re more special than the rest of us and can eat on the bus C) If we’re obviously allowed to ignore the no food rule, where the hell my burger is? Did you bring enough for the rest of us? You sat there munching away like there was nothing wrong, and even avoided my gaze as I shot you several contemptuous looks. Eat at home. Not on the bus.

Same thing happened the other day. The bus driver makes a big show out of denying entry to this dude with a travel mug (“I can spot ’em a mile away”), while at the same time being oblivious to this stupid cow mowing down LOUDLY on a Tim’s muffin, bag rumpling, lips smacking. It was truly disgraceful.
I’m pretty sure travel mugs are allowed on the bus so that bus driver is a big fat asshole. Some bus drivers just don’t give a shit though and won’t say anything to anyone who eats on the bus. I can kinda see why they don’t let people eat on the bus, but if they’re not really hurting anyone else and they pick up their garbage then who cares? Sometimes people REALLY need to mind their own business on the bus.
Maybe it’s just me but……. you should mind your own business and get back to your own mundane life. Look on the bright side, they weren’t on cell phones gabbing about the night before and the guys/girls they fucked or being loud and obnoxious. Eating should not be allowed on the bus. Nor should drinking for that matter. It would be different if everyone actually cared and was concerned for their fellow human. Because there are to many fuckers that do not respect anything. They would not give a shit if they made a mess on the seat, ceiling, wall, windows, floor, it really does not matter to them.. You’d be pissed if you were on your way to work and sat in someones ketchup a previous meal. Or sticky something, unidentifiable, that you put your hand in or sat in. No Food or Drink on the bus because of all the social fuck-ups and people that unintentionally spill stuff/make a mess on the bus.
this seems so petty. everyone sneaks food on the bus, and as long as they’re not making a mess and it’s not hot liquid, I don’t see what’s the big deal. if the OP doesn’t have the balls to sneak their own food on the bus maybe they shouldn’t blame other people.

hahahaha this conversation is very entertaining.for me, the bus is a place where i just watch everyone else. no one is happy, everyone knows it sucks, you can’t get mad at people who have any / all of the qualities listed by “More”, because it is a cheap way to travel and it is relatively better for the environment, compared to if all 50 of the people on the bus each had a car. get the hell over it.
WHO the hell cares if someone else is eating, its not up to you to patrol th bus! That is left to the bus driver obviously he didnt see or didnt care, and its not very big of you to post a comment online anonymously, if you cared that much you should have had the balls to march to the front of the bus and ask the Bus driver himself why this person was able to eat. When I lived in ottawa a couple summers back I took the bus on a regular basis pretty much everywhere because despite the cranky bus drivers, the bus system was AWESOME. ANYWAY, to the point: food or drinks were NOT restricted on the bus at all and a) the busses were actually CLEANER and b) no one seemed to be bothered by others eating/drinking, and TRUST ME, at least double the amount of people who ride the bus in hfx rode on OC transpo every day (probably even more). It was actually kind of nice to get something from starbucks on my way to the bus and not have to chug it down before the bus came, or to go out and grab some take out with a drink (like KFC with a fountain drink) and not have to dump the drink before I got on the bus to take it home.Why can’t people riding MT just mind their own fucking business? God when did Hfx become a city of whiny little tattletales?

i agree prettykitty, i lived out west, same thing we could take whatever on the bus and nobody gave two shits..people in this city have nothing better than to bitch about other people living their lives..
