I was coming in towards town on the bedford highway on Sunday (approx 4:30pm), and was full aware of the construction barriers. I kept a close eye on people coming from Joseph Howe, and even used my signal light to indicate that i would be going towards Windsor Street.
Then this guy came from Joe Howe in a ratty green van and sped up to not allow me in. I eased off and let him go ahead of me for safety reasons, then he darted across 4 or 5 lanes to the far left lane(not sure correct number at that point in the road). As he passed me and darted across everyone without regard for safety, he had the nerve to give me a look like he just got out of the Betty Ford clinic.
First, I do not know how you got your liscence. Second, I have no idea how that death trap you drive passed inspection. And finally, Third. You are a fuck stick who should be taking a bus. And watch the fucking stupid looks you give to others, because you are only making an ass of yourself.

  1. sounds like he won’t be around much longer anyways…
I mean I know we suck at driving but this is a bit much.

  2. People that intentionally block others should be caned. I had a guy do that to me in an Escalade on the highway last week… true scum.

  3. can you just imagine how much crime rates would fall if they brought back good old fashioned flogging and pilloring yep you could warn kids don’t do that or they”ll go medieval on your ass

  4. Yea thats just normal driving in our parts , get used to it . And hey OP – IT WAS YOUR FAULT!!!!!! Didn’t you know that pieces of shit vehicles always have 6 lanes of right of way – especially in construction zones!!! Honest, they do. Yea that was pretty shitty driving forsure . I suggest investing in them spike strips the cops have – and getting infront of the next fool like that , and spiking his tires .

  5. Yeah, intentionally blocking driver in situations like these deserves major flogging. Intentionally blocking drivers, however, who are trying to scoot ahead in a left hand incorrect lane (i.e. heading Dartmouth bound to McKay bridge from Windsor St exchange) is fun!!

  6. Or cars that scoot up the right lane on Quinpool and then when they get to the TD Street corner just past Cdn Tire)want back into the lonnng line of cars going straight. I ‘intentionally ignore those fuckers).

  7. ah yes cranky you assume at first they are going down monastery…but no don’t let the buttinskis in

  8. Did you check the plates of this “ratty van”? Nova Scotia has, overall, some of the newest, best maintained vehicles I’ve seen anywhere. Hardly any cars on the road over ten years old here. The reason I ask about the plates is because in several provinces, such as Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia, there is no bi-yearly “vehicle inspection.” Hence, when you go to Quebec, Ontario, and British Columbia, there are a lot more older, rattier vehicles on the road.

Nova Scotia also has some of the most courteous drivers too, so courteous and cautious in fact that it can become more of a pain in the ass more than anything, but that’s a completely different Bitch altogether. Like grandma driving about 40 in a 70 zone today because there was a bit of rain… grrrr!

  9. (Only because I’m a huge nerd) scroll down to December 24 Police Report:

    http://www.halifax.ca/Police/PoliceReports…

“GO #09-188889 – Suspicious Vehicle – At 12:40 p.m., a 16-year-old girl reported being followed by a vehicle as she was walking along Brule Street in Dartmouth. The suspect kept asking the girl if she wanted a ride. The vehicle eventually left the area with out further confrontation. At this point the vehicle and suspect have not been identified. The vehicle was described as a green van. The driver was described as a white male with dark short hair, crooked teeth and wearing a black leather jacket.”

    Same guy?
