  1. With a grain of salt knowing there are a few good ones out there… It takes a certain kind of person to want that authority over others. They’re mean and the HRM is full of them

  2. Don’t you know that putting folks in jail makes them feel good about themselves… Why else would anyone want to be a cop… And don’t give me that bullshit about “they just want to help people and make the city safer”

  3. Jail House Rock: Been there myself and it sure is a piss off when the police are abusing their authority.I even took my case to a civil lawyer but he told me that police officers have no qualm getting up on the stand -under oath and lying in court. No lawyer in this province will make upper authorities accountable for their actions.Don’t believe me folks, try talking to a lawyer and see how far you get-NOWHERE!We are NOW LIVING IN A POLICE STATE! Thanks to all the fuck’s who don’t care about anyone but their selves to allow this to happen.

  4. aww…I love the sweet smell of paranoia in the morning….and if we ARE in a police state, I think we’ve created it ourselves, with some Hobbsian Loviathan, chosing to give over our power to a greater body because we prefer to focus on the mundane or the pleasurable. we’re distracted by shiny new things while the people we put in place run amok. but before people start cramming me into the bomb shelter with alison, let me say that all of this has a really simple solution- elected officials for the most part are not evil (except harper. but he’s a robot so what do you expect? that antenna up his ass has to hurt). if people actually got engaged in the system, things would change. but nooooo council meetings are boring……..

  5. I like the part about how she casually mentioned she’s been to jail. Like it’s just one of those things we all go through on our long climb to the bottom rung of the ladder.

  6. well wasn’t she the persona going on about protesting? this clearly ups her hippy cred…..

  7. *parking myself next to Qwerty on the couch*’Morning hedgy, Floyd, Whatcha guys watchin’? Anything good on? Ooooh the Ali-G show….my fav! I was afraid they cancelled this.
