Cannot believe the cretin drivers in this city, especially at the Bayers Lake Business Park. I saw a flurry of bald tires and horrific drivers who didn’t understand the concept of endangering others. I fear for both good drivers prepared for this weather and pedestrians alike. It’s like being in a live Frogger game. —SLOW DOWN!

good bitch…I am staying home and off the roads til march, april perhaps.
No one is permitted to walk there. That’s why there are no sidewalks.
Bayers Lake is a clusterfawk, and only got marginally better after the new back way in. God forbid you have to bus in and walk to the stores as you are taking your life in your hands…the mentality of city hall/politicians when it comes to the streets never ceases to amaze me. EVERYTHING is designed around the car, and transit is given the shaft. Case in point, recent snow has caused Younge street (outside Hamachi) to narrow. People keep parking on BOTH sides of the streets. Can the city grow a pair and start towing cars? No, they detour about 20 buses at rush hour, with average 25 passengers, so about 400 people are detoured because a few people need their sushi. Really?? And why aren’t cars towed when the park on the streets during the parking ban? Until we get some politicians that actually have an idea of how a functional efficient city runs we’ll always be that small town hick horse-and-carriage city, which relies on this ‘charm’ for tourism but cripples the daily residents.
THE CONCEPT OF ENDANGERING OTHERS
“I saw a flurry of bald tires and horrific drivers who didn’t understand the concept of endangering others.” SLOW DOWN
“concept, n. Idea of a class of objects, general notion.” The Concise Oxford Dictionary of Current English Usage)
Can “the concept of endangering others” meet the criteria of what constitutes a concept? While the concept of endangering others fails to satisfy the criterion of a class of objects – clearly endangering others does not constitute a class of objects – there do appear grounds for claiming that endangering others might satisfy the criteria of a “general notion.”
But is a “general notion” of sufficient precision to incorporate the specific concept of endangering others? There is the suspicion that a “general notion” is too amorphous to capture the concept of endangering others. Of course, this raises the question of the bounds of amorphousness. In other words, are there limits to the concept of the amorphousness of a general notion and if not, is it syntactically useful? Is it semantically meaningful? The question is still open.
A pleasure as always,
Cheerio!
Yes Bayers Lake needs a vigilance on the part of the driver. Yes I believe those drivers with bald tires etc. do understand the concept of endangering others and they’re very good at it.
Bayers Lake and similar places are increasing the number of the circles of HELL.
