Hey young girl in the red accord yesterday on the 103 just by the Peggy’s Cove turnoff – Do you really think it’s a good idea to drive (ON A HIGHWAY!) with a cellphone in your left hand up to your ear, AND an ice cream cone in your right???????? You telling your friends how tasty it is?
I can’t believe I have to try to get home safely with people like you on the roads. All your friends in the car with you would like to get home alive too I would imagine.
And no… I was passing so I didn’t get a plate #. I’d gladly have reported it and spent time in court to hear you lame excuse. —VW

next time just give her a little nudge. or rear end her, and start yelling for cops if she is on cel phone, say she slammed on brakes for no reason.she really can’t say fuck all, buddy done that last night to some fuck head in a green audi. guy was on cel, buddy cracked him in ass, i got out and called mounties, buddy was shitting a brick when i told dispatch that he was on a cel, and slammed on brakes. he got a few tickets last night. next time, we’ll be looking for Y O U .
yeah yeah yeah no worse then someone smoking and drinking a coffee while driving a standard oh or eating a burger while driving or reading the paper. It’s been done before, and happens everyday. Complain about something else.
LIFE SUCKS is awesome! 🙂
If she got a nudge, she might drop her ice cream, duck under the steering wheel trying to find it, still on the cell phone, crash through a guard rail, mow does some bushes, and then hit a tree. Poor tree 🙁 Then she’d come back up and wonder why NS installed trees on the highway. That’s the kind of intelligence she’d have.
What I don’t understand is if talking on a phone is distracting…why isn’t it considered distracting when you talk on your phone through a blueteeth* or other ear piece ?
You’re still on the damn phone !
As for the eating,drinking & driving I guess that doesn’t distract you …………….right ! ! !

It’s the hands on thing that they don’t like. They want both hands on the wheel. And in some places, they actually are starting to criminalize eating/drinking while driving. Man, timmy’s would go under in 6 weeks… Welcome to the NANNY STATE!
Talking on a phone (hand-free or not) is distracting, but holding a cell in one hand means you don’t have two hands on the wheel, so in a way, it is worse. But they did find that while talking on a phone, your eyes’ field of focus become narrower, reducing your peripheral awareness. So if you are on a phone in a car and a deer runs across the road, you may not notice it until too late, for example.
I personally don’t feel comfortable eating or drinking while driving, so I only drink water/pop while driving when I’m on a road trip to stay hydrated and alert. If I had to eat, I’d switch driving with my partner or I’d pull over to eat if alone.
