Use your signal light! When switching lanes AND when turning… and don’t wait until you’re already stopped in the middle of the road to turn it on. In that case – you deserve a honk and a middle finger. —The Honker

  1. Wow…y’know it’s funny how many times this particular bitch comes up. And it’s almost always ver batim of the one previous. I’m not finding fault, just pointing out something I noticed. I totally agree. One of the simplest, most basic and fundamentally safe things you can do while driving but yet, one of the most frustrating, infuriating and down-right LAZY things committed when it doesn’t happen. It’s not like you have to go searching for the signal arm or perform some complex sequence of events in order to signal your intention. The lever is RIGHT. THERE. FUCKING USE IT!

  2. remember where you are o.p., this is, after all, nova scotia. land of the forgotten driver ettiquette.

  3. This must be everybody’s pet peeve yet so many people still do it and the numbers seem to be growing.

  4. Ever drive the I-95 or any major road in the USA? Or the 401 in Canada? I have. And no one uses lane change signals. In fact, they switch lanes willy-nilly. Unfortunate but true. Halifax drivers are basically angels by comparison.

  5. In case ya didn’t notice, drivers in Halifax don’t do favors…and they are not grateful when YOU do favors for THEM, either!
(PS I’m ruined on the <3 sign now...can only picture ball sacks blowin' in the wind) LOL
