What’s really sad is that inattentive & ignorant drivers are now the norm, not the exception.
Cyclist?
Highway driving has become insane – especially as you get closer to the city and traffic is heavier. I set my cruise control and drive exactly at the speed limit. Yet, I’m constantly being passed by vehicles that camp out in the passing lane or weave in and out of traffic. And when I do come up to a slow moving vehicle that’s trying to merge from an on-ramp, it would be safer to use the passing lane instead of hitting the brakes hard and potentially causing an accident – but that lane is almost always occupied by a line of drivers well over the speed limit. They are mostly men driving large trucks or SUVs. They seem to think they are invincible and that they have some sort of special speed privilege. Slow down idiots before you kill someone! You are not special! You are not in a hurry!
What lever to the left? Do you mean the brake pedal?
Nah highway driving is fine. Learn to merge, it’s a problem around here. If you’re paying attention slight acceleration or slight breaking is enough to let someone merge from on on-ramp if you can’t change lanes.
So I’m at the corner of Quinpool & Connaught inbound in the right hand lane which is a straight & turn lane. I’m going straight and the light’s red. This hillbilly shitwaffle behind me has his blinker on to turn right and starts laying on the horn like I can move forward enough for him to turn. That would mean going thru a crosswalk with a few people in it – no can do, pal. I watched him in my rear view mirror going spinorky, pounding his fists while foam’s shooting out of his toothless gob. This, in my humble opinion, is your typical Halifax driver. What a fucking way to start the day.
