You’re a classic case of desperation. Ever notice how most people move on?
Yeah yeah, others do it too – some more than you. But you’re 30 something. Stop pretending and do something with your talents before you turn 40 and blame everyone else for your problems.

I use to care when I saw friends go down that path…but you can’t do anything about it. Got burned too many times trying to help.
Some people are just fucked up, and as much as it sucks to see good people go down that path, there’s NOTHING anyone can do for them.
Self-destructive personalities and low self-esteem are too powerful for mortals to curtail.
You might be on starship life, but they’re on starship denial, and both are in different quadrants.

I don’t know. Sometimes shit just happens. I think people are too harsh on them. I’m sure many of them are quite bright and had dreams at some point.
I’ve actually seen some of them get out of that fucked up world and live successful productive lives.
Why label her waitress is what I’m wondering? If she works hard to finance and support herself who are you to demean her profession? If you’re concerned with her life choices maybe address that to your “friend”, instead of putting down how she makes a living. You know what job is “beneath” you?…the one you don’t have and tax payers have to support you. Sounds like you’re the d bag to me 😉
