You seemed like a decent person heading into work every morning until I realized what a complete douche you are.
Seriously, I can’t believe you turned off the sound on your phone so that you could take a picture of a lady sleeping on the bus.
She was wearing scrubs and I’m guessing coming home from a long shift at work. You don’t need to exploit her by taking a picture then sending it to one of your (assumingly) equally obnoxious friends and laughing… Not Cool.
Stop acting like a 12 year old boy if your really going to be that much of a jerk don’t try and be sneaky about it – we all saw you. —Disgusted Bus Rider

Should have called him out on it.
If you fall asleep on the bus or any other public place there is no expectation of privacy… so douchey people will do what douchey people do
Too bad Ken Fells wasn’t on the bus……
Take my picture in public without my persmission and I give you the Israeli treatment. And you can pay for your own replacement camera.
I agree with dartmouthy. If your going to fall asleep in public then yes…there are those that will find humor in it. I think it’s funny. It’s not like they hurt anyone. lol
Falling asleep on public transit as a source of humour? Really? Small things amuse small minds, as they say. I prefer a little more sophistication in humour that isn’t found in someone’s exhaustion after a long shift at work. Well, it could be a little funny if they kept trying to snuggle up to an unwelcoming seatmate. Lot’s of people simply doze off on public transit. Big deal!
Then again the OB is making assumptions of why the picture was taken. It could have been taken for many legitimate reasons (insurance fraud is one) or for many nefarious reasons (the person is a perv). If you’re concerned – ask.
ol: that reminds of the seinfield episode when jerry wakes up to the large naked man, and they end up going to coney island together
Yeah, I love that episode:
Jerry: “O-K. You realize of course, you’re naked?”
Naked man: “Naked, dressed. I don’t see any difference.”
Jerry: “You oughta’ sit here. There is a difference.”
Should have waken her up and say “Excuse me, sorry to wake you but I thought I should tell you that those people over there were taking pictures of you and laughing.”
Why the fuck didn’t you tell the douche to fucking stop? Cause you’re a douche too, that’s why.
You should have woken up the lady and told her this creepy guy had been taking pictures of her. Remember the juvenile delinquent that Principal Fells snagged recently…..that kid was ALSO taking pictures of females in the school (mind you inappropriate pictures) without permission. Look what became of that.
You don’t need the other party’s permission to photograph them in a public place. Metro Transit does it to every one of you anytime you climb onboard and sit down. Did anyone sign a waiver the last time they got on the bus? Or walked into the bank? Or went shopping? A lot of someones are taking your pictures every day of your precious little lives. Unless their camera’s on the floor under your skirt, get over it.
That phone must have been ancient (a la; brick phone with camera duct taped on) ’cause the sound on phones cannot be disabled (by law) apparently. I don’t even know if that’s real in Canada … ?
Precisely citEme
You cannot begin to compare a person taking personal pictures on a bus to the bus management placing video camera in for security and accountability reasons. Nice try but not really.
It’s not as if MT management or drivers are taking video to make fun of passengers or to get off on the pics whereas the jerks taking pics on cell phones are. Like I said, take a pic of me on a bus or in public and you’ll either delete the photo voluntarily or pay to have it replaced yourself once I settle the issue.
Plus, MT passengers are made aware of the cameras on board through PR and ads. And, don’t forget, a bus IS private property which means you’re subject to laws and rules like anyone else in a building or home. Taking pics of people on the bus for poops & chuckles is just low-brow and stupid. If you get called on it, good enough for you. If your phone gets damaged as a result, you brought it on yourself.
In short, get a life and you’ll go further in life than your next stop :).
I mostly agree with NGF, drivers only ever see the footage if they fuck up somehow and need to be shown. Otherwise, 99.99% of the footage is gone within a week because nothing happens.
How anyone falls asleep on a bus is beyond me, I’ve tried when the bus was shut off and couldn’t do it.
NGF, it may be “private property” but it is public access. Whereas no one can enter your home without permission (or warrant), anyone can enter public access areas (malls, businesses, churches, etc), unless they have been served with papers denying them access under the Protection of Private Property Act.
