Maybe they used Twitter and you didn’t read it. Or is it on their Facebook page? Maybe in smoke signals?
used to be that way, when i handled doug mclean and te langley beach crowd. he would take on a gig, and not tell me. i was supposed to be the manager and gig taker.
he used to take stuff, that was far lower than i had, and commited the group to it. i got fed up with the whole thing, told him to do it himself after that. and less than 3 months later, the group folded. and do i have any regrets, not a fucking one? you wanna double book, then you are the one to suffer, not me. i still get my percentage no matter what you do, albeit a bit smaller.
Blech I hate when this happens. This happened to myself and some friends one NYE. They double booked and the other party got there first so we were bumped.
We got free drinks and stuff, but…we were still pretty pissed.
