to the malls and famous burger chains etc. in downtown hali: why are your cleaners throwing out newspapers all day long. bad enough you don’t care about recycling or that you might save a tree or two, but someone else might like to read them.

  1. Some folk can only respect what they’ve paid for.
The publishers charge the fast food joints 1 cent per paper to be passed out freely.
    No cost=no conscience….I guess.

  2. most places have their clean staff take the papers and such to a loading bay, or other area, and place them in the proper recepticles.

  3. Good point…what happens is that the little prick in the nearby newsstand wants you to buy another newspaper….I’ve actually caught a little fucker slinking over to the food court and throwing out the papers himself, fucker…

Often the burger joint is near a gas station etc, who also get them to turf the papers. If you go somewhere, ASK if they have any papers…if they say no, say Wha…you got no papers, Where’s all the papers?!

I did that once and they actually had them all stacked behind the counter, wtf?

  4. I witness a guy in a BMW parked right in front of McD. He ran inside, grabbed a paper, run back to the car and take off. What an ultra-cheap prick.

  5. Because we have to keep the store “clean” as part of our job. I know it seems stupid, and believe me if I had the time I would like to read that paper too, however when it comes time to clean the store front we simply have to chuck it. The paper is cheep, just bring your own or read the metro.
