To a certain gay danceclub: If you’re gonna change the standards and force people to have 2 peices of ID you’re gonna have to advertise it better because finding out while standing in line is not cool. I’ve been going to your bar for over 10 years and a driver’s license has always been good enough. Do I look 16?? And once I’ve paid and I want to go out for air, don’t make me show you the 2 peices of id again. Are you telling me that the tacky bracelet and glow in the dark stamp aren’t enough proof that I’m worthy of your establishment?? Jackasses!!

Maybe after 10 years of going to the same dance club that the average age of its patrons IS 16 they are trying to give you the hint.
suck it up, it happens. I shaved my head a few years back for cancer research, stupidly right before I had to have a new drivers license picture taken. Now I get that id questioned all the time as hey, I look different with hair. moral of the story: maybe they just wanted YOU to have two pieces of id because one of your pieces doesn’t look like you. you shaved or cut your hair, got glasses, got fat, got thin, WHATEVER.plus you’re a guy- chances are you had another piece in your wallet in your back pocket ANYWAY. so what are you whining about? Take the compliment they thought you were young and move on.
Yeah I never got why people get offended by the carding thing. I got carded the other night and I asked the bouncer if he was for real and started laughing. He looked at me all serious and didn’t answer, so I handed him my license and he started laughing too. I was like “thanks, I can go home and brag now…”
The government has been coming down on clubs like Reflections and have forced them to.I’m sure making you have to pull out a health card or Social Security card is a lot better then fines for them.

hedgyhog: No, it IS a new policy. It was that this person looked young and it wasn’t personal. That’s the way it is there now. Truthfully, I like it because they’ve been asking me for 2 pieces of ID for 6 months or more now. But I can’t blame them. My hair is black on my ID and blonde in real life.
