You stopped me and said, “Hey sexy, do you have a cigarette?” I didn’t hear you say the sexy part, so I began to dig one from my backpack. As I was doing so, you said, “I love your hair,” and touched it. As I passed you the cigarette to get you to leave me alone, you then called me “sweetheart,” slowly looked me up and down, and continued on your way. Firstly, DO NOT touch my hair, unless you are given my explicit permission. Respect my personal space. What you did was creepy and demeaning. I just wanted to go for a nice walk, but instead I had yet another moment of the objectification and presumed ownership of my female body. You left me feeling small and without a voice. What upsets me the most is not even what you said, but that I have experienced this so often that it no longer shocks me. Now it’s just background noise, and that makes me feel even worse. —Disappointed yet again

  1. WAIT, don’t touch your hair is the message you’re sending, right? The rest you could care less about…?! Fucking bizarre!

  2. So how did you know he called you sexy? Just asking, clearly creeps gonna creep. My daughters will be trained to ninja those type of motherfathers.

  3. Lol @ “presumed ownership of my female body”. Over react much, psycho?

There are many women out there that make their living by objectifying themselves.

  4. “WAIT, don’t touch your hair is the message you’re sending, right? The rest you could care less about…?! Fucking bizarre!”

I thought the same thing. Your FIRST reaction if this person was truly invading your “personal space” then THAT is your priority. if you were touched in an innappropriate manner it behooves you to let that person know and get out of the situation or raise bloody hell.

MAYBE the person would have been able to learn from it, possibly appologize for any perceived offense etc. Fuck i get hugged at work by two middle aged ladies through no instigation on my part. i dont treat them like molesters or cry that they are in my “personal space” but if they did, they wouldnt be treated like trash, id show some dignity and courtesy and let them know in a respectful manner.

  5. Yeah man! A woman should have to make a scene and publicly shame someone just to be left alone. Cool story.

  6. ^^I think the OB’s point was that she shouldn’t have to do any of those things, or any other action, to not be touched or sexually harrassed by a stranger.

I like the second one better. I could really feel the sourness. I could see the panties bunching.

  8. fake bitch. as tomasa said, if you didn’t hear it how do you know he said it?

this is 3rd party fiction, contrived, prissy, using as many idiotic catch phrases as possible.

  9. As much as he acted inappropriately, you did have a voice despite how you felt. Speak up if someone does something TO YOU that you aren’t comfortable with.

  10. “this is 3rd party fiction, contrived, prissy, using as many idiotic catch phrases as possible.”

Or maybe a teenaged troll (that doesn’t live in a basement) made it all up? Stranger things have happened on here.

  11. A TOURIST IN UKRAINE

Yes, I’ve experienced the same thing, as a tourist one time in Ukraine. Talk about objectification!

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheerio!

  12. You say you didn’t hear the sexy part, so if you didn’t hear it, how do you know he said it. Of course your first mistake was to stop and give him a cigarette. The second mistake ws not wearing a nameplate that said “DON’T TOUCH MY HAIR”. And Lastly you have a mouth, use it. The only person who makes you small is you.

  13. Wait, tomasa? You are trying to feminize me, bro? Because your gender binaries digust me. Don’t commit your hate crimes here.

  14. i happen to know that if I didn’t smoke I wouldn’t attract the creeps and crazies looking to bum them. Quit smoking and learn to say no in the moments that it’s warranted and not after the fact. Your life will go much better, kid. I swear.

What happened to my avatar? Is Lavrenti Beria (NKVD) banning avatars now?

    A pleasure as always.

    Cheerio!
