To the man speeding down Young Street Wednesday morning at about 9:45 in the Black Intrepid, you, are an incosiderate moron with your head up your ass. Not only do you drive like you are blindfolded with a brick strapped to your foot, you took the right hand corner onto Windsor St so fast you just missed hitting my very visable, large white and black spotted dog. My dog actually jumped backwards and yelped.
Thanks for that. —Do we need to wear pylons?

Another one who can’t control their animal… where is the SPCA?
Nice black car but it looks more like a PT cruiser than an intrepid. Both are gag-me-with-a-spoon cars – so, nailed it!
A REDUNDANCY
To describe an inconsiderate moron as having his head up his ass is redundant since having one’s head up one’s ass is what it MEANS to be a moron. The two descriptive phrases are conceptually interchangeable. Try to think of a descriptive phrase which is not redundant, something which will ADD to the concept of an inconsiderate moron but not simply replicate it.

A pleasure as always.
Cheerio!
This bitch’s title “Donkey Drivers” is confusing. It conjures up the image of people herding donkeys – as in the expression “cattle drive”. Maybe the OB intended to use the title “Donkey Riders” which would have invoked the image of people sitting on donkeys for transportation. Which is it? Inquiring minds want to know.
montrealman: FYI, the common medical terminology for having one’s head up one’s ass is “rectal cranial insertion syndrome”.
And thank you for sharing the Ann Sheridan cover. Lovely!

Yes, while “Rectal Cranian Insertion Syndrome” (RCIS) is the common medical terminology for having one’s head up one’s ass, my aim was less physiological and more philosophical. Specifically, it constituted an inquiry into the effective use of metaphor. My claim was that for a metaphor to be effective there should be no simple replication of terms – in the present case a moron and having ones head up one’s ass which of course is what it means to be a moron – but rather there should a degree of conceptual light shining between the two terms. For example, the conceptual terrain might be shifted from the human body, whether in terms of the head or the anus, to a cultural or even a philosophical domain. Nothing comes immediately to mind but I’m sure you take my point.
I was glad to see that you liked the Ann Sheridan cover. However, you might find the present avatar featuring the stern portrait of Queen Victoria the occasion for complete detumescence.
