To the lady who was at the Dollarama Store at the Halifax Shopping Centre last Saturday June 13th – you are a complete and utter moron! Yes the lady ahead of you had a lot of stuff to check out but she WAS there before you! Most of the staff was on lunch (they are entitled to a break!) so the lines were long. Nobody appreciated your comments about how much stuff she had and how long she was getting checked out – she may of been buying this stuff for a charity cause or whatever but if you didn’t like it you should of left and come back. I was ahead of you and only had 3 items but I sure as hell wished I could of gone back and gotten another 100 items just to piss you off – get a life!!!!

This happened to me at Giant Tiger once. The bitch behind me kept asking the sales people if the had a speedy line and they kept saying “no we don’t.” I had about 7 or 8 items and she had I think 1 or 2. Anyway she kept saying “THERE SHOULD BE A SPEEDY LINE HERE!” I was the next one up and she was right behind me — with the number of items *I* had I could go to speedy too so it wouldn’t’ve mattered if there was a speedy or not: she wasn’t going to get ahead of me any quicker.
She even had the GAL to try and inch her way in front of me and comment on how she ONLY had 2 items or whatever thinking i would let her go in front of me. Uh no. I had already waited 20 minutes in line. And it was a Sunday. Don’t go out expecting to be in and out of pretty much anywhere on an effing sunday.
Jesus christ, why are people so impatient these days?
No patience for rude assed people like this. They try to get in front of me in a store, I remind them where the fuck the end of the line is (unless they have a very very valid reason – ie old person carrying a super heavy item, in which case I will be the first to volunteer my spot in line).
Another is bus butters. The ones who think that they can just saunter to the front of the bus line. Maybe thats how it happens in your home country (they probabalyl also cling to the top of trains with hens and chickens in cages), but here we have *some* order and manners.
As for rude customers, as a fellow customer I have had to on several occassions remind my fellow hsopper that the person behing the counter is only making 8$ an hour and probabalyl doesnt give a flying fuck if you have 1 item of 23 items – at the end of the day s/he still made $8 an hour for x number of hours.
Right on ustwess! I was pleasantly surprised when I noticed that city bus riders in Montreal actually line up in single file while waiting for the buses at most major stops. Jumpers were sent to the back or people just lined up closer and prevented them from getting on.
I also forgot to mention that the clerk who did wait on us was VERY nice and pleasant – a credit to her profession. She sure deserved her $$$$ that day.
I’d gladly volunteer my momma but she’s up to her neck in paperwork – the nurse’s burden. I completely agree with you OP, but usually if I have like 2 items and the person ahead of me’s got a bunch, most times they’ve let me go ahead. Some people just need to sit the fuck down though.
Tell your mom there are times when matches come in handy.
Followed by a Parliament.
Less-than-classy people at the Dollarama? You gotta be kidding me.
“Maybe thats how it happens in your home country (they probabalyl also cling to the top of trains with hens and chickens in cages), but here we have *some* order and manners.”
What the fuck is that suppose to mean ustwess. What you can’t be from here and be an impatient asshole. That’s pretty fucking small minded. That was also a pretty dam discriminatory statement.
That makes me angry to no end… People should keep their snarky comments to themselves, especially concerning something so petty. I find that a lot of people just complain for the sake of complaining.
Well, on the topic of bus butters there’s this old fuck that gets on the 18 sometimes at lacewood and he OMG HAS TO BE THE FIRST ONE ON! He’s pretty much squeezed in front of me as I was putting my foot up to get on the bus….and then when he gets on he goes all the way to the back and is slow as shit….but the point is: WHY does he HAVE to get on the bus first? The bus isn’t going to drive away until everyone who’s lining up at the stop is on the bus ffs.
Yes, because pointing out the person in front of you having a lot of items surely won’t slow the line down further. Save time, keep comments to yourself.
PK, I have yet to see this gent in action, but I know a lady in Dartmouth who has been guilty of that too. I haven’t driven the 18 in ages though, so that might be why.
Pretty Kitty: he’s probably developmentally challenged. If he isn’t…don’t let him in. Just give him the look, and say “ExCUSE me” with a glare.
If that doesn’t work, start throwing ‘bows.
Oh I wouldn’t complain if he was developmentally challenged at all — there’s a guy in his 40s who gets on the 51 in the morning who is special needs and he HAS to be on first and HAS to get a certain seat. I respect that shit, but this guy on the 18 just an old fart.
I dunno, people who HAVE to get on the bus first just bug me. Y’all’ll get on eventually — the bus isn’t going to pull away without you. And for some people it’s like a race to get a certain seat. Who cares which seat you get as long as you get from point a to point b in one piece? sheesh.
