  1. bigger dogs do need more exercise, only stands to reason. would you wanna be cooped up in a small fucking area all day, uhuh, doubt it very much. if a person goes and gets a large breed dog, then they should be aware said dog will either go nuts and kill them, or it’ll tear fuck out of your place. either way, you lose. get something that suits your space and time demands. don’t get something, and put it on kijiji a few months later.

  2. they should ask for a grant to confirm that theory…
I’m sure they’d get 6 figures to follow dogs around for 6 months.

  3. My poor Husky puppy has been house bound for the past week because she was just spayed, and boy, is she cooped up. We can’t take her out because she still has stitches in her, and the way she runs around, those fuckers would break open.

  4. Nah, they didn’t give us the “cone of shame”, and I’m not paying 20 bucks for what appears to be a sheet of plastic. However, the bitter apple spray I paid 5 bucks for at a local pet store seems to work quite well, meanwhile allowing me to spray crap she likes to chew/lick.

  5. there is a dog in our neighbourhood with the cone of silence…someone asked is that to keep the rain off her head^^

  6. Hilarious. The pup doesn’t really like the rain, so she avoids it as much as possible. Meanwhile, the snow, she goes absolutely nutters over. I’ll just be glad when her stitches come out this weekend. Take her for a walk, give her a bath, and then maybe she’ll bug the cats less.

  7. Hey Fever, you can make them with an upholstery needle, yarn, and a piece of Bristol Board, WAY less than $20. 🙂

I just realized, I said “hey fever”… I had an irrationally hysterical reaction to that…

  8. Thanks Gidget. I think I saw something similar on the net when I was investigating other prices for the cone, but then I realized that I didn’t have the manual dexterity for such an endeavour. Or the needle… or the yarn… or the Bristol board…

  9. A husky might be too big for this, but we turned my dog into “bucket head” when he was fixed. Dollar store bucket, cut the bottom out to fit head in, collar goes on after bucket.
You had to keep an eye on him, but it worked for the few days he needed it.

  10. Leave Brain alone, I’m sure Penney and Inspector Gadget exercise him enough with all of those crazy adventures they get involved in.

  11. Is Goofy even a dog? Well, at any rate looks to me like Goofy’s descendants were in the garden of eden and munched on the core of the apple given to Adam and Eve by the snake. Funny that isn’t mentioned in the Bible.

Genesis chapter 3, vs 7 1/2: And when the eyes of them both were opened, so too were they of the anthropomorphic dog upon eating the core of the forbidden apple thrown to the ground. And behold it stood upright and saw that it was naked and was ashamed.

  12. thanks for the response…i figured it would be ignored cause it was dumb. goofy might be a wolf but he has the floppy hound ears, pluto is a dog but mickey owns him so i guess therein is the answer. not.

  13. Good thing good ol’ Walt is cryogenically frozen somewhere. One day when he wakes up, hopefully this lifelong mystery will be solved once and for all.
