Sure there are hero dogs who helped the Allied cause during both wars. They were working dogs, not pets. Leave ’em at home and remember those who gave up their lives for the freedom we have today.

  1. And every year I will go to the Rememberance Day ceremony wherever i live. I will take my dogs with their poppies on their collars. And i will continue to take my dogs to visit these men and women in homes. I’m glad to see you made it to the ceremony!

  2. “They were working dogs, not pets”You do know that several civilians donated their own pet dogs to the war effort in both world wars? And soldiers would keep pet terriers for companionship and rat hunting? I’ll remember the vets, and the dogs, and the pigeons, and the 8 million horses who bought it in WWI, and if people want to bring them with them, I’m not going to piss on it.
