Dog poo bags. Not compostable, but biodegradable. Somewhere in the world dog poo bag factories are mass producing plastic bags and destroying our environment with their toxic emmisions! So why do we buy these bags to pick up a natural furtilazer only to throw the whole thing into the landfill? —poo bag protester

  1. agree completely with your premise, add to that the plastic bags we are required to use for garbage, which should be allowed to degrade naturally (that that can)

garbage used to be tossed into a metal pail in the kitchen, which was then emptied into a large metal can outside which was then upended into a garbage truck which was then dumped in a garbage dump frequented by seagulls, rats and poor people who would then reduce the pile naturally.

on the pooh issue, because the bulk of people are simply too stupid to think or care about their own actions’ impact, we have pooh laws. and pooh bags and pooh monitors.
if you feed your dog decently her pooh is NOT a steaming smelling pile of toxins.
if you feed your dog properly his pooh is a compact turd that is a delight to smaller creatures who eat it up forthwith.
and if you walk your dog properly ie: in natural surroundings and not a drag down urban streets before you bugger off to your all important ‘work’ and crate the poor bugger, his pooh will land in natural surroundings for other creatures to eat and to nourish the ground and where it will offend no one for the time it exists as ‘pooh’.
furthermore if your dog is running free in natural surroundings and not being hauled along concrete he will naturally go ‘off path’ for his private business instead of 3 feet from your leash hand.

  2. Just one of a 1,000 uses of a Sobey’s bag, after bringing home the groceries.

Remember folks, an environmentalist can not be satisfied no matter what you do.

  3. Mine are biodegradable. Only problem is that they need sunlight to decompose. Probably not gonna get that in a landfill, buried under 350 tonnes of garbage.

  4. psst. op, it’s fertiliser, or even fertilizer.

a furtilazer is my dog’s ass end after he gets into the chili

  5. fertilizer made out of dog poo.. yes i suggested this to someone once and i was told that for some reason it can’t be used for fertilizer. I’m not sure why. I’m not in the poo game.

But if you find a way to do it, use those cellulose bags that you can use for compost. They’re made out of strong plant cellulose but act and look like plastic. You want to compost the poo and see how it goes? Use those.
