I realize it’s a long winter with pets that need walking. It’s been a long hard winter…But is it really acceptable to allow your dog to piss all over a child’s snow fort when it is OBVIOUS they had spent hours building it? Come on! They were so proud and excited with their little snow fort. The next morning, when they went to admire their feat, hearts were crushed to discover dogs had pissed all over the entrance…WTF! What is wrong with you! It’s hard to explain why some one would be so inconsiderate, stupid and callous. I hope you read this and try to remember what it’s like to be a kid and how much yellow snow sucks. Winter is tough enough without jerks… —Sad Dad

  1. It’s not so much that some dog wrote his name on your spawn’s precious pile of frozen water and street detritus; it’s the fact that you recognized your wife’s handwriting. Isn’t that the issue here , Sport?

  2. Wow, back to back dog pisses on snow fort bitches. Now in the news the police have put an APB on a dog that is a serial snow fort pisser.

  3. think of it as a sunny yellow paint job, heralding the spring.

god, are all parents nowadays so wimpy and whiny? I doubt hearts were crushed unless you told them it was a horrible, callous and heartless deed. and once one dog marks, they allllllllllllllll have to mark. yellow snow is Canadian.

  4. BEING INCONSIDERATE, STUPID AND CALLOUS

“It’s hard to explain why some one would be so inconsiderate, stupid and callous.” Sad Dad

But did you manage to explain it? Did you manage to explain why some people are inconsiderate, stupid and callous? We can certainly see a solid conceptual connection between being inconsiderate, stupid and callous – those who are callous are, generally speaking, inconsiderate and stupid – but this just drives the question back one step.

Why, in other words, are some people just inconsiderate, stupid and callous? Is it nature or nurture? In other words, are some of us marked with the sign of Cain at birth or, as the philosopher John Locke would claim, are we just “tabula rasa” (“clean slates”) at birth and experience then proceeds to write its story upon us?

Can you support your position with reference to appropriate philosophical sources? Write back soon.

    A pleasure as always,

    Cheerio!

  5. I’m not sure about other dog owners but my dog doesn’t piss where I command. I advise you to teach your children that no problem is too big that you give up – do not allow them to crush their own hearts. Shit happens – you problem solve (together) and work to mitigate the issue.

Take a couple handfuls of snow and cover the yellow snow. Stating that the dog ruined their handy work is just making their problem bigger – help them make it smaller by coming up with ideas about how to fix the yellow snow problem.

This COULD have been a great learning moment for you and your children. I hope you are more aware next time and are able to keep your emotions in check for long enough to teach your children a valuable life lesson.

  6. Maybe these dogs are fort builders and are trying to get a leg up on the competition.

  7. Oh, well, you know how the old Angel here hates to see a good Fort get pissed on.

But a doggie’s gotta go where he’s gotta go, sooooooo . . . I guess a few strategic shovellings will solve this particularly bitchy problem.

  8. Sheila, if you don’t like people using your real name on this site, then don’t give out the name, former and current occupations of another.

  9. Pleeeease ignore her, Chuck! She goes away when you ignore her. It’s actually really nice around here when we all ignore her!!! I just reported the comment, so it should be taken down soon b/c it has personal details of another poster. That’s the best thing to do in these situations: ignore and report.

  10. Thanks for doing what I should have done, Breakfast Sandwich. You are correct, of course.

  11. I was trying to find his business number for a friend with a dog.

Chuck Yeager:How do you know if Sheila is ohhappyday’s real name?
Hypocritical of you to use her name.

Breakfast Sandwich:Carrying that much hatred for a couple years is bad for you’re health.

  12. Perhaps, ohhappyday, it’s because you write exactly like boru and whatacrock, right down to the numerous spelling errors in every missive. I believe your previous personas were banned from this board, were they not?

  13. I just don’t quite understand why you had to use his real name and put such personal information in your post that this poster has never shared on the board. You are well aware of his username on here.

I think you are looking to start your usual drama.

In any event, comment reported and hopefully the mod will take it down when she’s back on the board.

  14. Yes Willard, you’ve been outed again! When will you ever stop using real names and posting personal information? For shame, Willard, for shame!

  15. I suspect Hugo would rather be pulled into a quicksand pit than do you any kind of favour, ohslappyneigh.

Hopefully, the mod will note your ‘outing’ of my friend and ban you accordingly. We are all tired of your silly games.

  16. Weren’t you also ‘outed’ a few years back, Mr. Montrealman? A little sympathy for Hugo, sir, he is genuinely a very nice man.

  17. Yes, it was by Stephen “Hot Blow” Harper but he realized he was in the ring with one of the best and backed off.

Do you mean Hugo Phurst? If so, I’m not so sure he was a “genuinely a vey nice man.” In fact, as I posted before, I thought he was a real “dog in the manger.” Bow! Wow!

  18. I prefer to know someone face to face, not behind a keyboard, Mr. Montrealman. Perhaps you should try it sometime.
