Just want to send out a huge amount of love to the people who run the NS Lost Dog Network and all the dog people who helped my family and I recently find our lost dog. People were out searching before and after work for her when they didn’t even know us, they were just dog people. Our dogs link on networks Facebook page was shared over 70 times and people all over got involved. I know this network has done this many times and it amazes me how quickly people were there to help and support us. I will be leading by their example from now on and return the kindness in any way I can. So from as far as I can tell dog people are the very best kind. —Dog Lover

OP you’ll be happy to know cat people are equally helpful. When my little one went missing a couple of years ago (gone for two weeks!) my entire neighbourhood came out in full force to help me locate her and bring her home. it turns out a male cat that stalks my building used his territory rights to scare her further and further away. The entire street came out to help me locate her and given the tips i got (hundreds. Literally) she was making concentric circles around the block trying to sneak back to the apartment and try to find us again. I finally located her hiding under the neighbour’s porch with the help of said neighbour.
This was windmill road in dartmouth, back when i lived over there. That street has some AMAZING people.
it’s one of the best uses of facebook and twitter. they have incredible success and are a wonderful source of information and comfort. woof woof
