Over the years, I have found dog owners are controlling people and because they can’t control people, they prefer their canines over humans. They must have mastery over a creature, the total opposite of cat owners. Of course we all know NO one owns a cat. Cat owners are generally laid back and have a ‘live and let live’ attitude while dog owners are slaves to routine and being obeyed. Plus dog owners think their doggies should be welcome everywhere. I guess that’s why I like cat owners so much better than dog owners. —Meow!

My cats don’t play catch 🙁
Some dogs don’t either 🙁
I hate having to go and get the ball 🙁
my old cat used to fetch clothes hangers – the wire ones.
none of my dogs do. however there is a grain or two of truth in this post. i have two people in my extended family who recently got dogs. one is an ocd housewife who posts pictures on facebook of her neighbours garbage cans if they don’t take them in as the truck’s exhaust is still lingering in the air. the other is a so-so housekeeper who has a daycare in her house and a pool in the backyard.
i figured ms ocd would be sending that dog back to the breeders ( ick, breeders) within a week, and that the house of noisy chaos would enfold their dog to the pack.
uh uh. ocd has bonded to that dog like saran wrap after the microwave. a dog, of course, wants to obey. you just have to expect it. the dog dips her paws in a paw cleaner when entering the house, picks up her own toys after playtime and puts them away. poohs on command and is loved, cherished, goes on family vacations (which they now plan around dog friendly activities) and got swimming lessons at a doggy spa to make sure their annual lake cottage vacation was worry free.
ms ocd expected these behaviours, and got it with patience and consistency. i won’t mention what i think about the other situation.
this may shock people who know me but i am a bit of a controlling tyrant. and i love the unquestioning obedience of my dogs. ( well molly, not so much the others. thats why she’s a GOOD DOG) but i also love cats. because they are the opposite. i have absolutely no expectations of a cat. i just love watching them and having them in my life.
so you can like both.
This was the most fucked up poorly thought out thing i’ve read in a long time. Thanks Op, I don’t want to live on this planet with people like you anymore. go watch some more Dr.Phil or something so you can tell us why people who eat radishes are in league with lucifer.
HAHA it’s true: no one really owns a cat. A cat owns YOU.
cats are annoying. so are a lot of dogs. so are a lot of people. oh, well.
Cats aren’t that bad, they’re a little stringy and you gotta season the shit out of’em or they just don’t taste right. All in all, not a bad meal with a spinach salad and some dipping bread.
As both a cat/dog owner, this bitch is total rubbish. Owning a cat requires a lot less effort, so of course it’s an easier pet to care for. Cats are very independent while dogs require a lot of consistency and discipline. Comparing the two is just silly, and really, owning a pet shouldn’t just be about the owner. Yes our pets enrich our lives and make us happy, but you have a very backwards and selfish way of thinking here, OP. As a pet owner your biggest responsibility is to make sure that you’re fulfilling the life of your pet just as much as they fulfill yours. For dogs, this means getting off your arse and being physical. Terrible, I know! 😛
I’m sure your cat is very well taken care of and you do all you can to make sure he/she is healthy and happy, but please stick to owning cats and never get a dog as a pet. You’d be a disaster, OP.
As a dog owner, I am showered with unconditional love and, thusly, don’t feel the need to CATegorize a person a person by their pet ownership choices.
ummmm I didn’t take this bitch as legit. a friend is posting pics on my fb of his lovely tied flies. this post is a bit garish, but has the same intent.
when bored I will add my nibble, but I really like the ones that look real, no?
CONTROLLING PEOPLE
“Over the years, I have found dog owners are controlling people and because they can’t control people, they prefer their canines over humans.” Meow
This is an extremely interesting psychological hypothesis. While the second part is largely correct – dog owners tend to prefer their canines over people – the first part relating to their inability to control people is highly questionable.
For example, take Hitler who is said to love his Alsatian bitch more than people – he euthanized it just before euthanizing himself in the Berlin bunker – but he did manage to control a lot of people, at least for a while. Further study is required.
A pleasure as always.
Cheerio!
My cat recorded her own video wearing a towel on her head and a fake beard made of cotton balls where she gives her support to ISIS. I tried to tell her that a cave would have made a better background but she insisted on having a stupid Mohawk flag behind her. It’s bad enough the towel she used was East Coast Lifestyles.
you have to be careful if you owned a cat in the north end of Halifax; they go missing. I’m not sure there’s nothing to do with restaurants but then I question that as well.
My cat fetches little plastic rings off milk bottles.
And I can be very controlling, but usually only when I’m dressed in my leathers.
