ther is actually a law against just that o.p. if the cops were really doing their job, then you would not see this going on. if people doing this have an accident, the dog gets hurt, then a cop should charge driver with failing to keep it safe, and the dog should be able to sue the driver, same as a human. on the other hand, leave your animal home, unless to take to a vet, etc.

The day we can no longer allow our dogs to feel the wind under their floppy ears, is a sad one! What do you think your dog would say about a seatbelt or not being allowed to go in the car anymore?? You only live once…and sometimes we take risks to enjoy the simple pleasures in life and so do our dogs.

Yeah, I hate animal cruelty, but even when a dog is belted in, good luck trying to get his head to stay in the window. It’s just in their nature. What I really hate is when people have their dogs in the back of their truck, not so much on country roads where they’re not going fast but on the highway and stuff. Makes me wonder what kind of idiot would do that.
I must be more descriptive in my comment, clearly if your dog is big enough to sit in his seatbelt AND still hang his head out the window then you’re still doing the right thing & my small dog is jealous.
