I live in an apartment building owned by TransGlobe in Dartmouth. I had bought all my furniture in the last 6 months. And yet, I have been bitten by bed bugs about 20 times a day for 4 months before I realized there has been an outbreak in the building for numerous months prior. When I confronted the landlord, he says “6-7 tenants have had bed bugs for years, but since we didn’t want to cause mass panic, we didn’t tell you”. I had to throw away my brand new mattress set and several linens and clothing items. I have several scars from the bites and my doctor says they may be permanent. I had to live in hotels for days before Braemar Pest Control came and fumigated the apartment. I have been sleeping on an air mattress for the last week since I can’t bring in a new bed into the apartment until Pest Control sprays again in a week. My whole life has been turned upside down and I’m completely broke!
TransGlobe has taken no responsibility over the situation and continue not to care about tenants.
Those who are about to rent from them, DON’T!!! All their buildings are bed bug infested and they will not do anything about it!

Methinks, when there is a horrible infestation like this, those fuckin landlords need to be taken to the mat. They seem to have impunity with shit like this. Call the CBC or CTV. Get those fuckin cockroaches into the light, then see what happens.
It would be cool if our great and powerful nazi would do a piece on this issue.
Getting the Nazi involved might be helpful for this poor involved Bed bug victim. One Nazi is better that no Nazi. C mon you goose stepping web storm trooper:) No offense.
what people should do is to REALLY try and embarass these guys in a public way…like a demonstration….in front of OV towers….can’t Dept. of Health get involved?

I hope TransGlobe gets run out of the province and back to Ontario. Anyone who would rent from them at this point is an utter fool.
