To the bouncer with the asshole goatee: Did ya get some skin from ANY of the “so called” hotties you let in front of me while waiting patiently in line on Canada Day?
I got there a little late and the line up was pretty big. I stood at the back of the line and slowly moved up as the line mysteriously seemed to get bigger and bigger in front of me. When I got to the front of the line after a marathon wait, I and 2 other guys who were in front of me were halted until there was “more room in the bar”. After seeing numerous people leave, a group of about 7 girls and a guy walked to the front part of the line. All they had to do was: 1. be hot, 2. look slutty, and 3. talk to the Billy Goat working the door and they were in. When questioned about his unorthodox and unethical methods, he simply responded ” They are hot man, what else could I do? Don’t you want to see them in there”? He made it seem as though it was more important for these 6 skankos and guy (who only got in my association) then it was for us to get in, who waited in the line and did what is socially acceptable. Anyways, that’s my Bitch.. It’s not just the Billy Goat who does this, I’ve seen it in many bars everywhere I go. It just really chaps my ass and I think there needs to be something done about this. I really wish I would have had my video camera!

There is one easy solution. Don’t go to any of Halifax’s skankfest bars. As with any business if you affect their bottom line they will eventually have to review what has caused their business to decline. I stopped going years ago and don’t miss it one bit.
silly post. This shit isnt new. Its been going on since the inception of nightclubs. Since it is private property, these clowns can do this. It might not be good public relations… but hey, it happens that way.
I haven’t heard “getting skin” as a term for getting some ass in years, like back when I lived on the South Shore. Thanks for the memories.
the bouncer tried that to me once. there were 2 girls ahead of me and they were wearing girls t-shirts and knee length skirts, their make up looked human and their hair was tied up, they looked comfortable and real. i was behind them, with my friend and we met our weight loss goals of 30 pounds each. now down to a size 6. the bouncer tried to let us in first and we refused and made him take the girls that were ahead of us. it was then that i realized i would rather be fat and nice then skinny and selfish. my friend and i went to maxwells plum, where we had bneer and nachos and the best time of our lives
Have to agree with Jaymact, just don’t go. There’s plenty of good bars in Halifax that don’t discriminate like that. If you make the decision to wait all that time to get in to one of these skank bars, then it’s your problem.
