Look, I’m sorry I’m a clutz, and the tumble I took over the summer caused you to break, but can’t we just let things go?

You’ve been better for two months now, but you still won’t move or bend like you use to, and you still hurt me sometimes. I could deal with the spiteful pain you put me through, I can take it easy with you, and I have but I need something in return like, I dunno – being able to play my guitar again.

Seriously, I didn’t think you were that fucked up. Please just ease up a bit, and lets go back to how things were, whatdya say? —*Mind/Wrist Snap*

  1. Sorry to hear that Snapster. SOBova sprained hers 3 years ago and man, does she ever feel it in cold damp weather.
    Grrrrrrrooooooooooo!>: (

  2. Give it six months – something like a broken wrist takes time to heal especially if you’re trying to use it like you used to. You will play guitar again but for now you’ll have to blow on the strings or pick it with your big toe.

  3. Oh boo – get better soon, snap. All this damp, disgusting weather probably doesn’t help matter either. Maybe a nice hot trip to a warm dry climate would help in your rehab? :~)

  4. sorry to hear that snapster. ttfn is right it can take time to heal. my old injuries are right some painful in this weather

  5. Yeah, I got a piece of bone bouncing around between my knee joint right now – as much fun as bobbing for french fries – had to buy myself a fucking cane on the weekend but at least it’s paisley rather than gunmetal grey.

  6. the warranties suck on these models ttfn. you could get a retractable knife in your cane ya know for those special occasions

  7. J’ai un ami qui est un phoque dans le havre. Il s’appelle “Ouat” Oui, c’est vrai – OUAT LE PHOQUE! Le Ork, le ork.

  8. Teehee… in my grade 7 class there was a novel for us immersion students that was about un phoque – silly teachers couldn’t keep us from giggling every time we had to read out loud…

  9. The only time I ever felt an ounce of sympathy for a Phys-ed teacher was when he tried to teach my Grade9 class all about “Fartlek” training.

  10. I remember fucking my ankle over pretty bad in high school….
Flash forward to a YEAR later and I tried jumping to spike a volleyball and pulled one of the ‘healed’ muscles yet again….
Snapper, you may have to put that guitar away for a while.
Or get one of those auto-strummers buddy on SGR has.

  11. i have plates and bolts in my ankle zZz, but it works pretty good. my knee is held together with bubble gum and paperclips^^^

  12. Maybe physio would help….although if the sprain, etc was months ago it may be too late, and likely down the road you’ll have severe arthritis in your wrist.

  13. snappy baby, as we get older, things stop or don’t work like they used to. the old suckster is a prime example here. some mornings i just don’t want to even get out of bed. but i know that i have to, and do whatever i can, to make a buck. the weather we have been having, my back is just fucking killing me, thanks to a car accident years back. and the old legs don’t want to move, without a groan or creak or crack or snap sometimes, but again, i have to do what i have to do. i look forward to the day, i win a big fucking lotto, then piss on everything, i will sit back and drink my rum punch, in havanna.

  14. I am not a big believe in physio. I dislocated my shoulder last year and I was sent to physio. I didn’t do any of the fucking exercises, just used that arm according to what it could do or lift – went back to physio and the physiotherapist was delighted I had followed through with her exercises. Same thing happened when I broke my leg three years ago. I’m sure physio works for some people but I personally think it’s a big ole scam.

  15. I feel your pain. I sprained two fingers on my left hand over a month ago. I still can’t make a tight fist, and I’m pretty sure my future engagment ring will have to be a size bigger than it would’ve, prior to being thrown over a bicycle’s handlebars.

Hope you’re able to play soon!
