Aside from a handful of zealots, union members don’t give a shit who represents them. This is all about who is going to pay the mortgage on that BIG shiny new building and the salaries of the ridiculous number of people that work there.

I’ll tell ya who’s gonna pay that mortgage and for all your hairdos – all the about-to-be-jacked up union dues of all the other non nurse locals! —One Union Member Who Knows It’s Not All About ME!

  1. The Big Nurse has a kind of Mrs. Robinson vibe going on, which is so much better than Jetsam the Hutt. You lose, Joanie. Time for some collective female tears.

  2. Another mindless anti-union rant. If it weren’t for the union you’d be eating your beans out of the tin. Shut up and go away.

  3. Klyde, I love your poofy hair too 😀 And Hing Frogg, I agree completely–MM could do great stand-up with his one liners, kinda like an intellectual Rodney Dangerfield, peppered with a little Kineson and Bruce. If I were a filmmaker I would make him do cameos in my flicks.

@Ivan: LOVE your avatar, Sir Queen-of-Sin Esq. 😀

“So much more funnier?” It isn’t so much the shocking grammatical solecism which is worrying but rather the mind it reflects. Did I say “mind?” Clearly, that’s another solecism.

    “The Queen of Sin” (10:48AM)

“Ontological perfection?” Are you referring to a scale of ontological perfection? Does complete ontological perfection gesture to the top of the scale? Does it point to the omnipotent Godhead?

You sound like a Thomist to me. But perhaps not. As is commonly agreed, Christianity is little more than Platonism (with its “Form of the Good”) written in theological terms. I’m sure you agree.

    A pleasure as always,

    Cheerio!

  5. Shesang – only a contrarian ontological vibratrionist, secure in his own masculinity and acknowledging the Bergsonian thesis that there is no point of contact between the extended and the un-extended, could carry off this avatar.
    With such aplomb.

  6. For the most part, unions only exist in the modern era to convince workers they have it worse than they really do. Unions only inflate costs and slow the work that needs to be done down to a crawl.

  7. Lonelydwigh……. You left out a couple things , like provide training (ours pays 100% for members Red Cross First aid course) 50% of other training that is required , like fall arrest, elevated lift certification, Food handling as well as renewal when the ‘certification runs out’ etc.
Provides life Insurance, medical plans , drug & dental for a much better price than a person can do on their own. If you are working, the employer contribution pays for it …additional Retirement , with matching contributions in a pension plan 100% controlled by the member (aka worker) .
Sorry I interrupted you … carry on
