I got robbed. you would not drive me home or even give me a goddamn bandaid. And no, I counldn’t just call a cab, I have no money, remember?? Yes I was I drunk, but I did not deserve that treatment. Thanks for upholding stereotypes.

Did they have to answer another call?
If not, then yes, they could easily have put their cruiser to good use helping the OP home.
What stereotypes are you talking about, though, OP?
How did you eventually get home OP?
The, “drunk” stereotype, ND, I’m assuming…people who end up in ERs or are robbed often get branded as bringing it upon themselves, unfortunately, if they’re intoxicated.
They are not a Taxi Service.
If you were really beat-up/disadvantaged you would NOT have spent the rest of the night waiting for the closest library to open up where you can post this bitch.
Chances are the punks who robbed you were HRPD informants though. It happens in our pig-city. Kay rats out people all the time while posing as a “friend of the weak.”
Well, in her mind. And well all know she’s retarded.
“”What stereotypes are you talking about, though, OP?””
Kidding, right?
Maybe the one where NO cop will ever help you with a ride unless you’re a hot chick…even if you’re hitch-hiking in -30 because your car broke down (call a cab/tow-truck/relative/someone who cares)…?
Or that they really AREN’T public service employees, nor do they really “protect”, sitting in their cruisers instead of foot patrols needed so badly…Maybe the “stereotype” that they’re the same dudes who didn’t like you in high school, felt their status slipping away, and so joined “the force” in a bid to get it back…
In fact, maybe the stereotype that they REALLY don’t give a shit about folks…especially if you have had a drink or two (and therefore must be “drunk” and somehow not deserving of fair play)…odd in a town with over 200 bars.
Of course we know the RCMP have an even BETTER record for offering rides…if you’re a drunk Native Canadian with no coat, you don’t even get the ‘tank’ – no, you get a ride to the outskirts of town and dumped in a fucking snow bank…
Maybe the stereotype of hassling sex trade workers for kicks? Or telling victims of fraud it’s a “civil matter” and they can’t (read won’t) help…not taking ANY evidence for property crime, unless of course you’re “connected”…maybe the stereotype of taking bribes from drug dealers, stealing evidence, tasering foreigners, being bullies, not doing their job, hassling minorities, and generally being a pain in the arse to middle class drivers…
Any of those fit?
