Wow. I cannot believe that you put your child to bed every night at 1am, when the rest of the world is trying to sleep. You running in and out of your childs bedroom every five minutes for two hours and screaming at them was a really nice way for me to get to sleep. It wouldn’t be a big deal if this didn’t happen EVERY night. I understand that sometimes having a kid is tough, but I’m sure a 3 year old should be in bed before 1. Fuck.

My 2 year old does stay up until 1 or 2 sometimes, because I simply cannot get him to bed. But, the aim is for 9. I know a lot of people who don’t like to get up early, and don’t mind their children staying up- I used to be one. I also lived with family members at the time (with my eldest)
It really isn’t a matter of when the child should be in bed. Some kids are natural nightowls. However, if the parents are screaming at the poor kid to go to sleep cause they suddenly get tired after allowing the child to stay up? That’s just bad parenting. Not to mention, no consideration for others.
However…i have a toddler who does nothing but scream the majority of the time, so i can empathize with parents going through the same.
Perhaps if they stopped giving the little tyke Red Bull with a cheese chaser at 10 p.m. he might go sleepy byes – either that, or your below neighbours are running a grow-op and the fumes are keeping the fellow awake.
sippy cup of neo-citran and vodka = very sleepy chilln’s(works for older folks too!)
i got an easy fix for the parent/s, if you can’t train your kid, or if you have to yell and scream at them. then just simply give the kid up to the adoption agency nearest you.or, the writer can simply call child welfare and say that they/parent/s are verbally abusing said child.
I’ve DONE everything a mother can do: I’ve locked her in her room, I’ve beat her with the car aerial. Nothing changes her. It’s HARD being a loving mother!
dawn,i think i love you
